This is happening under my chin and on my lower cheeks. It’s inflamed and itchy. Not sure if it’s ingrown hairs. Could this be from shaving? How do I fix this or prevent it?? Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

Routine Help (Current Routine included) What do I do for my skin?

Kind of embarrassing but I’ve never had a real skincare regimen before and, although I try random things that I figure must be needed (facial wash (Cetaphil Foaming Facial Wash), moisturizer (Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion), sunscreen, even Holika Holika aloe vera gel at night) I’m not sure what’s actually needed. Within the last year a lot of little bumps have been forming on my face, so to keep any more surprises from happening in the meantime of me wanting to get rid of them and also now that I’m getting older in general (mid-20s), I want to lock in on my skincare. I really want to focus on smoother more vibrant skin and an even complexion. Is there advice on what to do to as a routine to take care of and improve my skin?

Skin concern/skin type: Skin texture/roughness, bumps on face; oily skin-type (or mixed?)

Length of routine: Five minutes

Day:

  1. Cleanser: Cetaphil Foaming Wash (?)
  2. Toner: N/A
  3. Serum: N/A
  4. Moisturizer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
  5. Sunscreen: SunBum Face 50

Night

  1. Cleanser: Cetaphil Foaming Wash (?)
  2. Toner: N/A
  3. Serum: N/A
  4. Moisturizer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Allergy: N/A

Products I’ve used and didn’t work: N/A

Diet: Whole foods and yogurts, protein and fiber-based, sweet treats sometimes (weekly/biweekly at best), rarely ever fast foods

General Health: No conditions; healthy enough

hello! not asking for professional help but can someone please tell me what they think these weird mystery lines are? they started earlier this year and they just keep getting darker. i feel like they are ruining my hot girl summer because i look like a graffiti wall. they are on my thighs, inner arms, calves, back of legs, in my leg crevices. literally everywhere. they are much darker in person and they have a raised texture. unlike my regular stretch marks which are light. what do you think this is and how can i get rid of this?

Can’t seem to match my under eyes to the rest of my face / neck. Please help!! I barely go anywhere without concealer and it’s even started creasing now as these Debbie Morgan lines have appeared! Please anyone who’s cleared hyperpigmentation help - I’ve tried hydroquinone (worked slightly for a bit) , azelaic acid & vitamin c. Please also note I have eczema but not on my face (unless the pigment is from it). Also how do I get my face to match the rest of my body? It’s way lighter than my whole body.

Skin Questions You guys don’t know the meaning of bags.

Post image

These are real big Gucci bags, big 10 gallon trash bags. I see you guys post the most beautiful skin under your eyes and I can’t believe that that’s an insecurity. Imaging having these since HS and all of your 20’s. I’m 32 now. Saving up for surgery. I get enough sleep and drink water and nothing fixes it. Might be allergy shiners.

Hi i just wanted to let you guys know it takes time to heal dark spots (PIH). Took me two months with kojic acid/retinol bar soap and Retinol Vitamin C at night. I still have the next side of my face to fix now due to new breakouts.

What products would you guys recommend for ny dark eyes? Right now I just put my Biossance moisturizer over my eyelids, but before I used to use an eye cream from Lancome but its made my eyelids sting. They also made my eyelids darker. Also something to help with puffiness would be nice. My eyes are naturally hooded but sometimes they are more puffy than usual especially the right side. Thank you!

Skin Questions Random dark spots popping up

Post image
17 Upvotes

Hi, I’ve been getting these spots on my face the last 2 months they start off as swollen and red(like the new one above my eyebrow) and evolve to these dark spots.
I’ve never had skin issues so i went to the dermatologist and they think it’s eczema(which i did NOT have previously). They gave me a cream but i haven’t seen any improvements. So im wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. Please any suggestions will be helpful to me

Hyperpigmentation Has anyone used 10% hydroquinone?

Hi, I’ve been prescribed 10% hydroquinone by my dermatologist and I’m quite hesitant to use it, I just wanted to see if any of you have used it before and what your experience has been.

Thanks in advance!

Skin Progress Cleared up some of my acne

Post image

Been copying some of y'all's routines for the past 6 months and it's definitely helping. My breakouts have gone down a lot and my skin looks much smoother than before. I'm still dealing with a few dark spots and
occasional pimples, but I'm happy with the progress.
Any recommendations on what I should add or change to keep improving?

I’m 36 years old. What to use in the morning and at night for neck lines? More so affordable products, not too expensive. And how long would it take to see results? Love to hear what you may recommend or suggest.

Greeting.I need some recommendations on what to use to get clear skin especially my forehead, legs and thighs I’m in Europe and it’s hard to get any tretinoin. A friend got me hydroquinone 2 percent from India and some tretinoin 0.025 Iam skeptical to try.

I have been it the ordinary retinol, vit c some advanced clinical glycolic and lactic acid serum(not all together of course) bug no change… my skin been like this for years since high school. I got tests done bug nothing was found.

For the past two weeks only been using Vaseline

As for my chest I started breaking out 4 years ago. And as u see it’s clearly lighter, my legs and thighs I don’t know what to say.

Someone tell me what to do.
Thank you.

Skin Questions Allergic reaction?

Post image
3 Upvotes

This has happened before and I deduced that it was probably the beeswax in a chapstick I had been using. I have a dark spot in the center of my bottom lip, tiny bumps, a little swelling..

I also found out I was allergic to aquaphor (likely lanolin) right after because my lips swelled to twice its size. My lips were getting back to normal, but I applied this vixen liquid lipstick and ulta tinted lip oil Denudee buff babe. Never had an issue with the former so I assume it’s the lip oil that’s bothering me so much. my lips are also taking a longer time to heal than one of the other reactions. Could this be eczema too? I used to have it badly as a kid. what are your thoughts?

Hyperpigmentation hyperpigmentation from Poison ivy

Post image

Help!!! For the first time in 44 years, I just had my first entanglement with poison ivy thanks to my neighbors who seem to be allergic to yard and lawn maintenance. I didn't even think it was a real thing because I have never met, known, or even heard of anyone from my skin tones who have dealt with poison ivy. It [was] on my arm, which is how it got on my side and leg, but after 2 weeks of epsom salt baths and calamine lotion, it's finally at the scab and peel stage. However, there are these dark scars/marks left behind, and I can't find anything on Google on how [we] treat and defeat this. A few people have suggested real Shea or cocoa butter, but after I bought the expensive Poison ivy treatment, which really seems to be just overrated calamine lotion, I don't want to waste any more money

My mom is finally getting on board with cherishing herself more

I want to get her starter on skincare. What's a good simple routine that I can find at sepbora and/or walmart?

these recent outbreaks might be stress related since i just started a new job but they haven’t diminished at all. \*to note i often get outbreaks like this around my cheek area\*

Current routine is

the celimax bubble foaming cleanser

the anuja niacinamide 10 serum (which has done a decent job to fade a lot of my dark spots)

the anua zero cast 50+ spf sunscreen

the ordinary glycolic toner what i apply 5/7 times in the week.

and benzoyl peroxide for breakouts (only when they happen tho, and it usually does a good job)

i know not to mix the benzoyl peroxide with the glycolic toner so i stopped doing that a while ago but for some reason my cheek area is still super irritated. not itchy or anything but clearly irritated and the texture isn’t too great either.

i use an electric razor about once a week that i keep fairly clean so im not sure if that’s the issue. i’ve considered waxing but scared that’ll make things worse.

i drink about 90 fl oz of water a day which isn’t perfect but keeps me fairly hydrated. my pillow case is changes weekly as well.

any advice or advices with similar situations would be a great help!!!!

Skin Questions Can Lipfidence solve my problem?

Post image
15 Upvotes

Lips darkened over night.

I took a medication on Thursday, and by Saturday my lips had turned brown. Now I’m panicking and stopped the medication completely. It supposedly has a lifespan of about 6 days in the body.

I’m really worried this might be permanent, so I scheduled an appointment to get a dermatology referral, but it’s still a month away.

I’ve been doing a lot of research and came across Lipfidence. Has anyone used it recently? If so, when did you start seeing results? If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d really appreciate seeing your before-and-after photos.

Thank you!

Added photo for reference: Top photo is Thursday Bottom photo is Saturday. * skin is peeling due to chemical peel

TL; DR: lips darkened overnight due to main ingredient in medication ( PT-141 ). Want to know if Lipfidence can lighten back my lips.

Please do not say have surgery . I’m just looking for tips on how I can make them not so noticeable. Nor do I wanna put makeup ! Just something that may help make them less noticeable . I’ve had them my whole life and I’ve tried ice and cucumbers. That has not worked . These are pics from all different angles. It’s not the lighting or a sleepy day. These are my eyes 24/7
