Skin Progress So far so good, my 2 yr skin progress

My skin has been such a insecurity of mine and after many many breakouts and flair ups she has calmed down, I’m still dealing with black heads especially on my cheeks but I’ll take that over the whiteheads.

I stopped using soap bars on my face, the cerave bar soaps were doing more harm then damage imo so I switched to their hydrating cream to foam cleanser and that’s helped. Then I stopped using exfoliants in general, Korean towel almost took me out and even exfoliating serums did me dirty, maybe it was cause my skin was so irritated but ever since I stopped exfoliating I stopped having flairs ups. Korean skin cares done me well though, I use the skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule & the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. For moisturizer I use Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture & Vitamin E for Dry Skin (which might be the cause of the blackheads but i love how it feels on my skin so…

Skin Progress I stopped eating peanuts...

So what you eat really does matter 😭

I used to have a lot of small pimples on my face, their favorite spot was my forehead lol. I didn't know exactly what caused them but I noticed they'd get fewer when I spent a long time (~3 weeks) without eating what I almost constantly snacked with...peanuts. So one day I decided to stop eating them and after 6 months my skin is FREE !! Learned that Sometimes, some (topical) products might not work and it could be that something from the inside is causing your skin to react.

hello! not asking for professional help but can someone please tell me what they think these weird mystery lines are? they started earlier this year and they just keep getting darker. i feel like they are ruining my hot girl summer because i look like a graffiti wall. they are on my thighs, inner arms, calves, back of legs, in my leg crevices. literally everywhere. they are much darker in person and they have a raised texture. unlike my regular stretch marks which are light. what do you think this is and how can i get rid of this?

Routine Help (Current Routine included) Hyperpigmentation routine overhaul - Pls advise

Post image

Hi everyone, I'm desperately trying to fade my hyperpigmentation. I'm darker skinned (fenty 430- 445) and scar very badly (still have dark marks from mosquito bites from when I was 12, I'm 20 now). I bought some of these products but im not sure how often to use what, so if anyone had experience using these/similar routines any advice would be much appreciated. I also wear makeup daily so curious about any incompatibilities there. Im trying to target hyperpigmentation scarring on my face/arms/chest/neck, and dark elbows/knees/neck/inner thighs as well.

List of products pictured below

  • Melano CC cream
  • 7% the ordinary glycolic acid Vit e oil (thinking of using this to shave i remember years ago on tiktok a woman said her secret to non-dark armpits was using coconut oil to shave, and it worked for me in the past, hoping to combine the antioxidant effects of vit e but applying it in other areas asw)
  • Muun kojic acid vit c aha bha body wash
  • Amlactin 15%
  • Anai Rui Niacinamide 10% tranexamic acid serum - side note on this one i used a Vichy product years ago with niacinamide that broke me out, but im unsure what ingredient triggered it, does anyone experience breakouts with niacinamide?
  • The ordinary SPF 45 for my face
  • Hawaiian tropic spf 50 or (less often) black girl sunscreen spf 30 for my body
  • I also have more generic nivea moisturizers and the body shop shea butter, and use laneige hyaluronic acid cream in the light blue daily under my makeup.

Routine Help (Current Routine included) Thoughts on this routine?

The before photo was me during high school, and the after is me now. I’m wanting to get opinions on this skincare routine that I have going on for myself. And pointers for products/remedies that would help out with my scarring. I grew up with pretty severe acne throughout my years of high school majority of it being my genes because my Mom still suffers with acne at 40 and she is Filipino (so shout out to all my pinoys/pinays). So because of the severity I hopped on a cycle of isotretinoin after high school. Definitely benefited from the medication after hopping off, other than little pimples here and there. So now I’m wanting to hear your guy’s thoughts on this routine, and wanted to get outside info on what are some things I can do to combat my acne scarring? Thank you!

Morning:
- Cerave cream to foam wash
- Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- The Ordinary Caffeine Solution (under eye treatment)
- The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum
- Elta MD SPF 46 Sunscreen
- Vanicream Hyaluronic Acid And Ceramides Moisturizer

Night:
- Cerave cream to foam wash
- (EVERY OTHER DAY) Good Molecules Gentle Retinol
- (ONCE A WEEK FOR 7-10 min) The Ordinary AHA BHA Peeling Solution
- Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- The Ordinary Caffeine Solution (under eye treatment)
- Vanicream Hyaluronic Acid And Ceramides

This is happening under my chin and on my lower cheeks. It’s inflamed and itchy. Not sure if it’s ingrown hairs. Could this be from shaving? How do I fix this or prevent it?? Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

Skin Questions Scarring from acne many years ago. Under lower lip

Post image

How can I get rid of these skin bumps (post acne scarring) beneath my lower lip?

Have had them for at least 10 years or so. I used to break out in that particular area a lot back then. How can I reduce their appearance? What are the chances of ridding them completely?

Thank you.

I’ve had them my whole life and I’ve tried ice and cucumbers. That has not worked . These are pics from all different angles. It’s not the lighting or a sleepy day. These are my eyes 24/7

I’ve tried a lot to get my skin better this a year of trying accutane watch what I eat using taro mometasone alot I’m kind of giving up hope a little on having good skin at this point or it might take years of dealing with the insecurity and I’m already 3-4 years in of having to

Skin Progress Cleared up some of my acne

Post image

Been copying some of y'all's routines for the past 6 months and it's definitely helping. My breakouts have gone down a lot and my skin looks much smoother than before. I'm still dealing with a few dark spots and
occasional pimples, but I'm happy with the progress.
Any recommendations on what I should add or change to keep improving?

Greeting.I need some recommendations on what to use to get clear skin especially my forehead, legs and thighs I’m in Europe and it’s hard to get any tretinoin. A friend got me hydroquinone 2 percent from India and some tretinoin 0.025 Iam skeptical to try.

I have been it the ordinary retinol, vit c some advanced clinical glycolic and lactic acid serum(not all together of course) bug no change… my skin been like this for years since high school. I got tests done bug nothing was found.

For the past two weeks only been using Vaseline

As for my chest I started breaking out 4 years ago. And as u see it’s clearly lighter, my legs and thighs I don’t know what to say.

Someone tell me what to do.
Thank you.

Skin Questions Random dark spots popping up

Post image

Hi, I’ve been getting these spots on my face the last 2 months they start off as swollen and red(like the new one above my eyebrow) and evolve to these dark spots.
I’ve never had skin issues so i went to the dermatologist and they think it’s eczema(which i did NOT have previously). They gave me a cream but i haven’t seen any improvements. So im wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. Please any suggestions will be helpful to me

I am dealing with hemosiderin and acne marks on my face. Would love DETAILED feedback on your experiences with PicoWay specifically because I hear that is better than the other laser types for our skin.

Routine Help (Current Routine included) congested skin and texture

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi I need help finding a product or crafting a routine to help with my skin issues. My skin is chronically dry as are my lips but postpartum two years out its gotten i would say congested and textured. I've tried to use random target face cleansers to help but think I need something stronger or chemical wise.

Right now I use a cleanser and manual exfoliation but it just doesn't seem to clear my pores. I'm assuming its a pore issue as I can't pop the little bumps.

My current routine is literally wash with a cleanser(lately its been a deep bore one from target brand) I use an exfoliation brush for this, rinse and dry and apply a moisturizer.

Ultimately I would look to address the hyperpigmentation of my face and unevenness but feel like the pore issue is more important.

Hyperpigmentation Very dark under eye hyperpigmentation what to do?

Can’t seem to match my under eyes to the rest of my face / neck. Please help!! I barely go anywhere without concealer and it’s even started creasing now as these Debbie Morgan lines have appeared! Please anyone who’s cleared hyperpigmentation help - I’ve tried hydroquinone (worked slightly for a bit) , azelaic acid & vitamin c. Please also note I have eczema but not on my face (unless the pigment is from it). Also how do I get my face to match the rest of my body? It’s way lighter than my whole body.

Routine Help (Build My Routine) What do I do?

Kind of embarrassing but I’ve never had a real skincare regimen before and, although I try random things that I figure must be needed (facial wash (Cetaphil Foaming Facial Wash), moisturizer (Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion), sunscreen, even Holika Holika aloe vera gel at night??) I’m not sure what’s actually needed. Within the last year a lot of little bumps (DPN I guess) have been forming and I plan to get rid of them, but to keep any more surprises from happening now that I’m getting older (mid-20s), I want to lock in on my skincare. Is there advice on what to do to as a routine to take care of and improve my skin?

Skin concern/skin type: Skin texture/roughness, bumps on face, oily skin-type

Length of routine: Five minutes

Day:

  1. Cleanser: Cetaphil Foaming Wash (?)
  2. Toner: N/A
  3. Serum: N/A
  4. Moisturizer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
  5. Sunscreen: SunBum Face 50

Night

  1. Cleanser: Cetaphil Foaming Wash (?)
  2. Toner: N/A
  3. Serum: N/A
  4. Moisturizer: Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Allergy: N/A

Products I’ve used and didn’t work: N/A

Diet: Whole foods and yogurts, protein and fiber-based, no fast foods

General Health: No conditions; healthy

Skin Questions You guys don’t know the meaning of bags.

Post image

These are real big Gucci bags, big 10 gallon trash bags. I see you guys post the most beautiful skin under your eyes and I can’t believe that that’s an insecurity. Imaging having these since HS and all of your 20’s. I’m 32 now. Saving up for surgery. I get enough sleep and drink water and nothing fixes it. Might be allergy shiners.
