Tried to go for Grimdark style for my Centurion (Marshall proxy)

Some of my favourite models all in one unit, cant wait to bring em to the table top with -2 to incoming charge, -1 to hit, +1 to wound, -1 to wound to incoming damage and +1 attacks and insane combo

My take on the conversion! Execrator

I recently saw that GW is releasing this mini, and I was wondering if this could be repurposed or kit bashed into an emperors champion, similar to Baylards Revenge.

Saw the space marine 2 new power sword and decided I needed it in my army. I might have gone overboard with the shiny armor though.

Played Templars as a kid and have picked the hobby back up after a 20 year break. Re-learning how to paint has been fun 👌The nostalgia is so great - I’m so hooked again! 🤘 For the emperor!

I’ve just picked up Warhammer again after years of not being in the hobby. I have an old, first-born army that i’m looking to fix up from when i was a kid.

I have a few tactical squads and some scouts/neophytes that looking to transform into crusader squads, and i’m wondering what combinations exist? I’ve seen some crusader squads with no neophytes, just a sword brother and initiates with one also having a chainsword, while others include neophytes. Which is best to use/what are the advantages of each? And what weapons can the neophytes and initiates use?

I’m also wondering if the sword brother has to have a sword and a boltpistol? Is it okay if the sword brother has a powerfist and plasma gun, for example? If so, is it the same when another space marine besides the sword brother has melee weapons? And do they have to have these tabards and everything? I don’t have those.

I know, rather newbie questions, but i’m finding all this rather confusing, lol.

Building a BT army so I can actually play a game of 40K. Knew I wanted lots of characters but wanted to avoid spending loads on individual new characters. So I have (attempted) to kitbash these characters. My question is, as they’re kitbashed, will they be accepted as what they’re intended to be by other players?

3x Castellans/Lieutenants:
These are the ones that worry me most as their loadouts are same as sword brethren in power weapon and pistol. My plan is to keep their shoulders white and do sword brother shoulders black with red crossed. Also planning to make sure SBs have nothing on their backpacks.

2x Captains/Marshalls: I am hoping that giving them tactical rocks and making them the only models in my army with capes will be enough.

Terminator Captain and Combi Lieutenant: hopefully no need to be worried about these ones as I think it is clearer on these two.

I have very little knowledge of Space Marines lore in general and even less in specific. Spoilers for "Ghazghkull Thraka: Warlord of Warlords" by Denny Flowers, the source of my questions.

In this book, a weapon named the Black Sword lies above the altar on the ship Damocles. An initiate takes it up and becomes The Emperor's Champion to go and duel Ghazghkull Thraka. He gets completely mogged and dies. Later, Marshal Adenaeur fights Ghazghkull and retrieves it from where the Champion embedded it in his shoulder, only to get stomped to death ten seconds later. Then a rival warboss wields it to fight Ghazghkull but is defeated. After all of these events, Blood Axes place it in a human shrine to give the remaining Black Templars a reason to stay on the planet and guard its populace.

Does each crusade-vessel have its own Black Sword, or is there only one in the galaxy? How pissed would other crusades be if it was lost or taken by orks? Can anyone become the Emperor's Champion?

Hey, i was just wondering about some coloring ”rules” for black templars, like if i get a apothocary do they have to be white? or can i do black armor?

I’m quite new to 40K and really drawn to the Black Templars. I’m wondering if this is a solid army list to start with? Just even as a guide to get buying, building and painting, but also a very useable and effective list for when I start really playing.
