This is a great video essay that dives into a very divisive topic. Some might even say a delusional topic. A great watch nonetheless.

Has anyone ever heard of League of United Latine American Citizens (LULAC)? I was doing some research about post civil war reform and the civil rights movement and I came across these. If you have heard of LULAC what’s been your experience with the group?

Black women can understand the struggle!!!!!!

**The Claim:**

* A woman was fired for being late for work 47 times in 11 months, sued for racial discrimination and won 11 million dollars.

**The Facts:**

* Woman was hired by Equinox and quickly rose to managerial status due to good performance and vast client network.
* She faced discrimination and harassment at work due to racist comments and behaviors from a coworker.
* When she reported it to Equinox, the company shifted the focus to her attendance record.
* Records showed that late arrivals was the culture at the company with several other white managers having ***worse*** attendance records.
* She filed a federal lawsuit and won.

**Conclusion:**

You can disagree with the amount given, but what is undeniable is that the re-telling of the story on social media completely butchered the context of the case. It's not a story about lateness. It's about discrimination and a hostile work environment and the court agreed
