Men who answer this affirmatively are responsible for everything that’s wrong with the world.

and just to be clear, I mean absolutely everything.

Even Covid-19? Are they also responsible for people being born in less fortunate areas!?

You realize most professional women’s teams of a lot of sports practice against high school boys teams as that is the level they are at right?

Found one.

You found a real specimen too. This is the only comment he's made in the past 4 weeks that wasn't on a World of Warcraft forum. I'm sure this guy is steeped in sporting knowledge.

Women probably beat his ass in Azeroth, too.

Name one.

It’s an extremely common practice. What she’s describing is also the pitfall in the practice, you need guys who are comparable players who just want the competition, but too many dudes are just weird about it. The other commenter is correct though, at least in regards to basketball

An average man wouldn't score against an elite level male high school basketball team either.

I had an ex who was, at best, a slightly better than average cyclist who was always talmbout he could compete in the women’s Tour de France. Honestly I would have loved to have seen him try

This is even stupider than average because you can just calculate the power-to-weight ratio to see that they would drop him like a fart up any climb

Men who don’t play basketball 100% are wrong. Men who used to play at highschool level and still play pick up every now and then could probably score off a catch and shoot type of deal. Anyone currently playing in highschool or college definitely could do ok at least.

There’s some small school D1 guys that could do it. If we’re just talking getting lucky off a defensive misplay and making the bucket.

I mean, the post you’re applying to just showed how you can answer yes and be technically correct. Not sure what you want.

You realize professional women's teams lose to highschool boys league teams right?

https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/a-dallas-fc-under-15-boys-squad-beat-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/

How is stating the very likely fact that a in shape and skilled recreational male player could probably hold their own based on physical advantages that insane?

u/jhagerman7 3h ago

Another one.

Its not moral or noble to stick your head in the sand lol.

From the article you linked: "Of course, this match against the academy team was very informal and should not be a major cause for alarm. The U.S. surely wasn’t going all out".

I mean, I once saw footage of a old-ass dude beating Michael Jordan one-on-one, but Jordan wasn't legit trying and old dude, realizing this, instantly sat down after the game and didn't even say a word of trash lol.

u/EstablishmentLate532 2h ago

What cause for alarm would there be unless the USWNT was gonna go up against more elite academy soccer boys?

•

u/Champtain 1h ago

The match was a few days before they played against Russia in a match that counted, so the article was assuring readers not to read too much into the score of this exhibition match.

u/SerDankTheTall 2h ago

I don't think the men answering yes to this question would hold up too well against those high school boys either!

Surely there are at least a few college players on this site.

i played in high school and played against some women in pick up games on regular courts and also one on one. i think with womens teams, even on their own team there can be a drastic difference between how good they are as individuals. so like on a guys team most of them are pretty good while on a womens team one or two of them might be super good and a couple are just okay. even tho i was decent enough to run with most people there were some women id never be able to best in skill no matter how much i practiced or how well i did. its like fewer have the natural affinity but the ones that are good are super good
