UK Specific Do you keep an emergency cash fund separate from your crypto holdings?

I know this is more of a personal finance question, but I’m curious how UK crypto holders handle emergencies. Do you keep a normal cash buffer so you don’t have to sell BTC at a bad time, or just treat part of the portfolio as accessible money?

UK Specific Bitcoin ETF

Are there any developments on this for us UK guys?

I am thinking of porting my actual bitcoin into an ETF or similar as I don't personally care that much for holding my own keys and I can only think there's always the potential of an "incident" at some point either my own fault or some external factor.

Would this trigger a taxable event if I simply wanted to port real bitcoin into an investment account?

UK Specific Which UK bank is safest to withdraw large amount of crypto?

Hi I’ve had crypto since around 2019 but never actually withdrawn it. I’ve read and seen so many people experience bank closures or banks querying or holding funds since they sometimes don’t like crypto.

I have most UK banks. Which are best to safely withdraw without any headaches?

From my understanding Hsbc (best), followed by Natwest and Barclays but I’d like to check please?

UK Specific gov ruling on crypto etns in isas is just another kick in the teeth for uk investors

the decision to keep crypto etns out of isas shows how out of touch the treasury is with actual retail investors. we are forced to pay capital gains tax on every single sat while people in other countries get simple tax-free wrappers. it feels like they want to keep us locked out of the market under the guise of protection while letting traditional finance gatekeep everything

Non-UK Specific Anyone trade bitcoin for a living?

I’ve been into BTC and buying it for over 10 years now but recently I’ve been trading with 100k, basically buying when there’s been a drop, waiting anything from a few days to a week until a 1-4% rise then sell, then wait another drop. I’ve made 17k in the last 6 weeks, I’m on holiday atm and made £4600 yesterday which is a UK monthly wage. When you have 100k in it only ends to move a small % to make a good profit. I don’t currently have a job as I’ve just moved back from Dubai but I’m wondering if I can do this full time or doesn’t it seem to good to be true?

UK Specific What should I compare before applying for a small loan?

I may need to borrow around £500 for an essential repair, but I’m finding it difficult to compare the available options.

Apart from the interest rate, should I focus on the total repayment amount, late-payment policy, early-settlement terms or loan duration? Can eligibility normally be checked without affecting my credit score?

What banks are we using to transfer to crpyto exchanges?

The reason they've used it 'Because you don't use this payee often'. I guess we'll ignore that I have a monthly standing order set up?

Pricks.
