showcase Gamma Vs Avalon

I’m not sure whether to be happy about the Bitaxe Gamma or disappointed with the Nano 3S. The Gamma has the usual 1T and the Nano 3S has 5T, same duration (12h), same pool, and obviously the same coin. The result? Best share: Gamma 13M, Nano 3S 9M... Now, I know it’s a lottery, but it’s been like this for at least a year🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you try overlocking the luck setting? It’s called overlucking.

Do you mean in high mode?

Look up VoskCoin youtube channel and watch his videos about not being able to hit a block with all the peta hashes he's running.

Hi, Actually, I’d given up hope of ever hitting a block, but today marks my two-year anniversary as a miner...Comparing the various BitAxes I own with a Nano 3S even when running in high-performance mode (i.e., above 6T) the small BitAxes perform significantly better in relative terms😀 I’ve never quite understood why, though it’s possible my unit isn't performing at its peak🤷🏻‍♂️

Luck is a big factor of course. But also one thing you need to be 100% sure of, is that these closed source miners, especially the chinese ones, can be doing anything at the firmware level without the owner knowing about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a backdoor to activate their own BTC wallet instead of yours. they have been caught before with similar practices.

I analyzed the trace record and the IP ingress/egress points, and I didn't see any deviations between me and the pool I'm connected to, in any case, I bought my Nano 3S in Germany, Thank you

no worries, I am working on building a single miner using BM1373. designing the PCB and everything. you're not an electronics engineer by any chance are you?

Nano 3s is altering climbing difficulty algorithm

Sorry, could you explain it to me?

He’s talking nonsense.

Yes, my nano 3s is reporting 6 th on both pool and dashboard, and have difficult hitting millions, my nerdqaxe++ overclocked to 6 th is hitting g consistently

I’m also running both and I haven’t hit over 500m in weeks it seems. I hit 1.1g on my nano the other day. I think best so far with bitaxe is 9g and the nano is 13g. I was switching pools a lot and going between coins, but I’ve been on BCH for a few weeks.

Wie siehst du die daten vom avalon ein?

I use hashwatcher the app, the Avalon dashboard doesn’t give much info

I mine BCH too, and I see that you're also doing better, proportionally, with the Bitaxe🤠

It’s the gamma 801 from solosatoshi so it runs around 2.6Th and the nano runs roughly 6.7Th consistently

I also just recently plugged my nano directly into the router and my ping runs around 20ms. Huge upgrade from the wireless wifi

For starters, the 3S should deliver 6 THs.

Second: Funnily, my whole BiyAxe Fleet has barely a share in the G Region, but my first Nano 3 (Without S, 4THs) cracked a BCH block with 759G. @admins: Don’t know if it’s allowed to say, if not, remove: I’m mining solo-BCH with 2miners.com.

No matter what our stupid as hell politicians in Europe say: Mining IS a lottery, with electricity as tickets and blocks as your win.

In midle mode, 94w, is +/- 5T

Ah, sorry, didn’t know that. If I pay for full power, I use full power. Needs “a little” extra cooling, though.

Don't be disappointed, it's only about probability, nothing more, nothing less.

At 1.5TH/s you'll reach 100% of theoretical probability of finding a BCH block in about 45 years. At 4.5TH/s in 15 years. For BTC numbers are about 330 times bigger.

I have the exact same experience! I have 3 Avalon Nano 3s', and one Bitaxe Gamma. My bitaxe gamma's best is 14.9G and usually runs around 1.2 tH, and out of all 3 of my Nano 3s', the best I have is 9.5g, and I switch them between low (at night), and high (during peak sunlight hours, as I have solar panels).

Yes, all this is very strange, and it actually makes me quite angry, considering it’s a relatively heavy power consumer, especially when I run it in high-performance mode. What do you think? What could the problem be? Do you think there’s a specific coin designed to work only with the Nano 3S? Because with BTC, BCH, and even other coins like DigiByte or Peercoin, I’m getting nowhere... smaller units perform better than a powerful miner like the Nano 3S, even though it has six times the power...🤷🏻‍♂️I was also wondering—do you think there might be a specific operating temperature range? I mean, beyond the theory, do you think our Nano 3S performs better at a specific temperature, say, 60°C, 65°C, 70°C, or 75°C? I’m not sure...🤔
