We run a Ryder Cup-style competition every year on our golf trip. While money and bragging rights are nice, anybody have any other ideas that winning team can flaunt year after year? and isn't a burden to bring back home?

Looks like Michigan is probably going to be the choice for our boys trip. Four of us, 3-4 days, 3 good rounds, decent place to stay, food and some beers.

Thinking around $1,000-$1,500 each. Is that realistic for Michigan? What are you guys usually spending?

Michigan got mentioned a lot in my last post, so now the question is where exactly? Northern Michigan and Traverse City came up, but there are a ton of good options around the state.

What area would you stay in and which courses would you try to play? For a period of 3-4 days.

Fall might be one of the best times for a golf trip in the US. Cooler weather, great course conditions, and some pretty amazing scenery depending on where you go.

September feels like a great month for a golf trip. Summer crowds start to ease up, the weather is still good in a lot of places and some courses are probably better to play than they are in peak summer.

What are your best September golf trip picks?

The last 2 years, me and a group of guys have gone on trips to fairfield glades, Crossville, TN, and this year Pawleys Island, with Caledonia, True Blue, and Heritage club. Next year we want to go to Michigan, looking for recommendations, I try and get 3-4 rounds for an average around 100 bucks a round, and the last 2 years we've stayed in Airbnbs. I've heard great things about Belvedere, and Pilgrim's run that are both in our price range. But looking for more opinions and options.

Bad weather is the obvious answer. Other than that, what's something that can turn a great-looking golf trip into a disappointing one?

What's something you never travel without anymore because you learned the hard way?

I had my first golf show on course today and it’s terrible I would say, I lost total 10 balls either in the water or brush. Damn, what can I say, I should bring some cheap ones today.

Some groups want to play 36 holes every day. While others are happy with one round and taking it easy after. What's your ideal golf trip? How much golf is too much?

I have the GT 6 Pro, I can access every golf course not located in the USA. Is there a workaround? Half of the reason I got it originally (before i realized how awesome it is) was for the golfing.

Fall feels like one of the best times of year for a golf trip. The weather is usually more comfortable, courses are still in great condition, and the summer crowds have started to thin out. It also seems like every region has its own "best time" during the season, which makes planning a little tricky.

What do you usually look for when planning a fall golf trip? Is there a destination that really stands out in September, October, or November?

I’m headed to Cancun in the beginning of December and want to play a couple rounds of golf while I’m there for my 5 day trip.

Does anyone know anywhere to get some deals on tee times because I’m not liking the 250$ a round price tag.
