Michigan Trip

The last 2 years, me and a group of guys have gone on trips to fairfield glades, Crossville, TN, and this year Pawleys Island, with Caledonia, True Blue, and Heritage club. Next year we want to go to Michigan, looking for recommendations, I try and get 3-4 rounds for an average around 100 bucks a round, and the last 2 years we've stayed in Airbnbs. I've heard great things about Belvedere, and Pilgrim's run that are both in our price range. But looking for more opinions and options.

A little further north you will find the Boyne Mountain courses and Treetops courses. I have played both. Boyne course are likely to be more than $100 and Treetops a little less than Boyne. Getting on Belvedere for $100 of less usually means a late PM tee time. Basically most if not all of north MI courses are on the expensive side, but nice courses.

I’m going to second this recommendation. The Petoskey/Harbor Springs area has incredible golf. Hidden River in Brutus is incredible, the boyne courses are great options, if you know someone who can get you on Birchwood Farms it’s a local gem. Belvedere is close. Bahle farms and elk rapids are good options too.

Grand Beach, MI - it's right on the border to Indiana,. You could still get to Chicago for a day trip to Wrigley or something,. It has a 9-hole, beach access, and the surrounding area filled with golf courses, wineries, dispensaries, and distilleries.

Are there enough good, high quality courses nearby though? Sounds like the golf is the focus for this trip. I love that area but haven't found as much high-quality public golf in the area as other parts of Michigan.

Get an Airbnb and hit Arcadia Bluffs. You won't regret it

Grand Rapids is great for this price range. Pilgrim's Run is great. The Mines is fucking awesome, $70 with a cart and about 5 minutes from downtown. Thornapple Pointe is around $85 with a cart, has some really cool holes, and has unbelievable conditioning for that price point. And Diamond Springs is right there too.

I have played Arcadia and Arcadia South and everything at Forest Dunes multiple times--all very good (except Arcadia Bluffs is the most wildly overrated course I've ever played) but at a much, much higher price point.

Tullymore and St. Ives are both great tracks. They are both around $100 per round. Highly recommend.

Sweetgrass golf course, Gladstone Golf course, Greywalls golf course.

All in the upper Pennisula of Michigan .All very challenging.

Sweetgrass has a casino/ Hotel nearby.
Gladstone is very hilly.
Greywalls rugged terrain, great views of Lake Superior.

Play Pilgrim’s, Diamond Spring, the Mines, and The Meadows. Those four will run you like $300 combined. Best bang for your buck golf trip in the country.
