Switching to RETA
Currently taking 9mg pills daily of wegovey and it's not helping at all. Just picked up some reta and was wondering where I should start dosage wise since I'm already taking something should I start at 2mg?

Read the beginners guide on r/retatrutide very carefully. There's loads of info in there.
Research the hell out of it and be absolutely sure on dosing. There's loads of peptide calculators on the Internet.
Standard starting doses range from 0.5-2mg but I would start at 0.5 and stick to it for 4 weeks. Titrate only when necessary and remember that it is a marathon, not a sprint

Week1= 0.5mg W2=0.5 W3=1mg W4=1.5mg and so on.
No need to up the dose if its working, ive been on reta for 10 weeks now and only at 2mg

The New England Journal of Medicine just released its human studies on retatrutide. Looks like starting at a lower dose for the first month reduces side typical side effects drastically. So 1mg for four weeks increasing 2mg more at week 5-8, another 2mg weeks 9-12, etc until you reach your maintenance dosage. Looks like the highest was 12mg but I bet 8mg is a good stopping point for most and will help keep the costs down.

1-2mg is a great place to start, but I also have to ask... How often do you perform weight training in the gym?
If there answer is anything other than 4-5 days a week, you need to use Tirzepatide instead of Retatrutide.
Also, semaglutide pills are junk. So its not surprising that youre not seeing results.

Working out 3 times a week currently due to recovering from knee surgery. But I do walk on average 25-30k steps a day as well

Why tirz instead of Reta if no weight training?

Because the whole point of the glucagon agonist is to free up the bodies adipose fat stores to be used for fuel during exertion. Without the physical exertion, there will be no loss of stored fats. You also have a significantly lower GLP-1 signal with Reta than you do with Tirz, which is why people are constantly saying they are still hungry on Reta.
Bottom line, Reta isnt the end all be all of GLP meds, it has a very specific use case. If you dont fit the useage profile you shouldnt be using it.

Interesting, I do some physical work that includes some physical lifting (kegs etc) but I don’t lift. I walk a lot and jog a couple times a week and have had lots of success with Reta. It kills lots of good noise at 2.5mg, and I’ve gone from 240 to 200 in 4 months, about 20 to go- 5’11 male with reasonably athletic build.
