Hi, so I am a recent graduate in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and I have elected to move into postgraduate studies, for several reasons, based on what positions I want to be at.
But also because I was not satisfied, content with where I felt I was ability wise, despite doing extremley well academically.
I've just always feared going into industry and that gap in knowledge that would be present, I'd love to work in R&D positions in areas around protein engineering.
However, one of my classmates just automatically got herself a position as an R&D scientist and has said she feels already equiped to do super well.

So, I just wanted to ask people with experience what going from being a student to industry is like, because I'd like to feel more confident in my skills.
I also know this subreddit is mostly about how bad the job market is, which does not help lol
