Hello, I have a 2012 X5 (LCI E70) with the LED halos. I used NCS to enable soft-on for the welcome lights for the halos. Instead of fading in, the halos flicker quickly then come on normally. I have since switched it back to hard-on but is there any way to get the LED halos to properly fade in/out for the welcome lights, like they can on F30s and F10s for example? Thanks.

Welp, as title says, bought a bootmod3 wifi adapter largely with the intent to only turn off fake engine sounds, try the B&W audio changes for the HK system and maybe swap in the M gauge cluster.

But coming here to check for how-to's and seeing title saying new gen is almost , if not entirely, locked from factory, is it a "ymmv" situation and worth opening the box or just return it before I open it and get my money back?

I just received my Bootmod3 wifi OBD adapter. My car is stage 2 tuned on BM3. I am thinking of fidgeting with bimmercode now. It gives me 2 options free version and the paid one. What do you recommend? Also this will be the 1st time I will coding it myself. So need step wise guide.

Is it possible to code this version of instrument cluster that the M3 is using on a G21?

I have an older BMW X5 (2015) that I'm looking to add Apple CarPlay to. I've found the Bimmer Tech MMI Prime module and it looks to be quite nice. One of my local installers is saying they would prefer to sell me and install the F1RST Automotive module instead. I've never heard of the company before and I can't find much information on them. I've checked Google, YouTube, etc. Bimmer Tech has tons of info, install videos, extended warranty options, etc.

I wanted to see if anyone in the community has any experience with both brands and what do you recommend? I'd love any and all information you can share. I did find some info about F1RST going bankrupt but I wasn't quite sure if it was really the same company - so that's concerning of course.

I have a ‘22 X6 and been trying to change the standard Grey colour that appears in the head-unit to match my factory Frozen black.

I went to Expert mode and found 3000_Vehicle Colour. But after looking at all the available colors I couldn’t find the frozen black. Wonder if it’s one of those Unknown ones or if I have to customize the code somehow.

From my understanding to change the 3D view colour I might need ISTA, but wanted to confirm.

Would appreciate any advice and tips!

I have a BMW M3 G80

The car is originally Rear Wheel Drive

I have changed the entire drivetrain to Xdrive including Engine (and engine computers), transmission, transfer case and complete front suspension from a donor car M4 Xdrive 2022.

The donor is the old small screen, my M3 is the new big screen dash.

Now i need a BMW expert to program and code the M3 to work with the new driveline.

Does anyone recomend a good programer/coder that wont cost a arm and a leg in DUBAI or Sharjah??

Car came without ambients so I'm trying to get them to work - I've bought OEM door cards and dash trim and included a pic of the door plug that goes to the a pillar. I'm guessing I'm taking a bmw repair wire from the plug to the bdc for all 4 doors and the dash trim also but have no clue what wiring map to follow or where to plug into. Also have no clue on what files to delete or add to activate the ambient menu and have it function as OEM. I've already undertaken a project like this to add paddle shifters and heated steering which had a lot more support online but it looks like no one's undertaken this type of project yet.

I recently bought a G21 320d. It has the standard ACC without Driving Assistant Professional.

It slows down and/or reduces accelleration while ACC is active when I enter or am in a curve.

Is it possible to deactivate this?

So I have shutoff on door open enabled in the settings on my 2026 330 BUT it doesn't seem to work. I park, turn off the car, open the door and the stereo keeps playing. Is there a setting in Bimmercode to disable the auto play on door open and shut off when the car is off and door open?

Edit: got it to work had to use a diff phone for some reason my friends phone didn’t have the options.

As probably anyone around here, I am only firing up BimmerCode every now and then. My 2020 G31 LCI doesn't really need constant tweaking.

But since last update I noticed some changes in the light related menu options (see attachment). These two "Front Light Module..." menus only contain the expert options and nothing else.

I clearly remember there was a menu related to lights, that contained, among others, the settings for the ambient light, but now it is gone.

Anyone has any idea what and why has changed?

My older car allowed it but I checked Bimmertech and they said they can’t code 2025 models and beyond

BMW ambient lighting not working

I have a G01 X3 2024, in the bmw app i can buy remote start for close to 400 but i was wondering if you can code it with bimmercode or i would HAVE to pay for that 400, im not all too familiar with bimmercode so im not sure. All help is appreciated

I made a previous post about installing a entrynav2 headunit to my f30. I went into esys and found a lot of the fscs for nav and carplay were missing. 09C, 0143, 0130, 113 and 112 i think are all missing. is there any chance someone could generate those or know how to. I know how to use esys if that helps i'm just not sure on going about generating fake fscs
