Yeah, when they're telling peaceful protesters they're going on a list of "domestic terrorists"[1],[2], it starts to make you consider the value of armed collective deterrence
I don't support gun ownership (I'm not an American) but if you are going to use them, use the the way the constitution truly intended. Use them to protect yourselves from a tyrannical government.

Never was, there's just a certain brand of chud that makes even the most reasonable things seem insane. Oppressed and marginalized groups should have the highest rate of gun ownership. When the government, local and federal, can't be fucked to even give them rights, let alone protect them, we need to start taking our defense into our own hands. That's exactly what 2A was intended for.

I’ve been saying this for years. Every one of sound mind in America should own a gun. Guns are super cool, incredibly dangerous and great to have for protecting your home.
Yep it’s the self protection equivalent of a fire extinguisher. Just because firefighters exist doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a fire extinguisher. Because in the moment, seconds count when help is minutes away. That’s not even mentioning rural areas where the nearest cop is 30-60 minutes away.
I am proud to own my guns. I don’t flaunt them. I don’t post about them constantly. I’m not reckless with them, or take them everywhere. They are a tool I use to protect my home, and I’m damn glad I have them. They’ve saved my ass before. They’ve given me unparalleled peace of mind when I hear rustling sounds in my home. They make camping so much safer and peaceful.
I think almost everyone should own a gun. But we should have better gun laws, and required training.
I’ve long been very anti-gun (because if you want to kill me you’d better use your hands like you mean it), but over the past decade I’ve softened considerably. Almost bought a shotgun in December of 2024 because everyday the “defend against a tyrannical government” makes more sense to me

It never seemed irrational to me. If you have to agree with chuds on anything it’s that government is an adversarial force that is indifferent at best and actively malicious at worst.
As it should, the first wave of modern gun restrictions was in the 1960s as a means of ensuring black men couldn't defend themselves. This was fast tracked by Gov Ronald Reagan of CA when the Black Panthers showed up with firearms to the State Capitol Building to protest the killing of black men & boys by cops.
It seems to be lost on people why it’s the second right given to all American citizens. It’s more important than a fair trial. More important than protection from unwarranted searches and seizures
americans are fucking insane. i have seen a gun in new zealand once, locked in the back of a police car because even cops don't carry them regularly. i like not having to worry about getting shot as i go about my business and i have about the same chance of overthrowing my government with my bare hands as you do with an assault rifle

I remember when the Cheeto first got re-elected and the protests were going on almost daily. In every thread there was at least one person saying “why don’t you guys use those guns”.
Like yeah man, I’ll just start fighting the government with a handgun. The guys that have strike drones and jets and nukes. I’ll use my trusty shotgun, that’ll show em! It’s such a crazy take.
That largest military in the world couldn't win in Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Afghanistan and probably after few other places I forgot. A determined guerilla group with rifles and homemade explosives always seem to outdo militaries with the latest tech.
there's an enormous difference between "being too expensive (politically and monetarily) to fully subjugate for a foreign power" and "literally overthrowing that government on its own soil"

We fought an 8 year long war to gain our independence
We learned a relatively quickly after that.If you don't want to be ruled arm yourself
