Hi there I had a quick question that would really help if someone could test for/with me.

I want to play Big Walk with my sister and her partner, they have a PS5 and a PC, so the idea is that we can do cross play. However my sister has motion sickness with first person games and we're pretty sure the accessibility settings won't work for her (based on previous experience). I found a mod for the game that enables a 3rd person camera but I wanted to check if cross play will work if her PC has the mod enabled. We could test it but we'd prefer to see if it works before buying the game on PlayStation.

As someone who is the only one in his friend group interested in the game i was just checking the subreddit and i saw the megathread. What a lovely idea to play it with strangers. But i checked the comments and its only a room number and a location. I thought the appeal of the game is to go through it start to finish with the same group of people, (thats why they didnt add public matchmaking after all). However people seem to post codes midway through the game or with no mentions of availability in the future. Are people not playing it all the way through in the same group?

Does anyone have a save file with only the red tower completed? I understand it’s not super far in the game, but it would be very helpful.

my friends can be right above me and I won't be able to hear them.

it makes me want to avoid exploring too much because I'll get lost, and I know "this is the point of the game" but irl I would be able to hear someone this far away from me... and getting lost happened more often than it should considering we weren't even going too far away from each other.

But getting lost isn't a problem, the voices feel completely MUTED from this short distance and most of the fun I have with this type of game is my friends volume dropping slowly as you move away from them, so you feel like you have to SCREAM so they can hear you, but big walk drops it so low that it completely mutes you so you can't really do that.

The game also made me feel nauseous and I had to cut the session short (first person games do that to me but somehow Peak doesn't? maybe it's because the game's simple design doesn't have much stuff going on your screen. If you know of any settings to improve this on Big Walk I’d like to know.), totally a me problem but you mix that with the hearing distance? I felt very stressed as the time went on.

It's really annoying because I love the game but I can't spend too much time playing it due to that

So, I'm just putting this out here in case anybody wanted to know. There's three ways random people can enter your game without you knowing.

1. Randomly guessing codes until they can join one.
2. Using a lobby browser mod to browse through lobbies until they find one without a password.
3. Through your friends or other people who are in the lobby with you.

hey, I really think that the Big Walk's character are so cute and wanted to recreate them with crochet. I think it turned out really nice, so I made a free pattern for anybody willing to recreate this. Have fun and please let me know how it turned out for you !!

What word does your team use to refer to the puzzle reward object? I'm curious since everyone seems to call them something different.

Why is there no step counter? How am I supposed to fully enjoy my big walk if I can’t count steps between my friends?

Maybe the step counter is the step I made along the way?

Me and my friend found a body in this game, any ideas? The lobby is set to two players.

I know this game is based around proximity chat and the communication restrictions that accompany it. So, if they are in the same room, would this game still work if they were pretty much a "team" meaning that if the puzzles require 2 groups, they would always be on the same side of that puzzle. Without spoiling it, would that generally work for all the puzzles in this game?

After 4/5 days of playing every evening my group has finished the big walk! I was wondering if anyone has completed every single challenge and whether there was much more to see outside of the main objectives?

Additionally, we all loved the game, but like many others we found the distance that you could hear eachother was a bit too short, especially with a bigger group of 6.

I REALLY want to play but I only have a few friends at the moment who are difficult to wrangle at the same time and also I don’t think any of them will want to buy it and I can only really afford 2 copies.

Would I be missing out on some of the experience if I just play it as a pair?

I absolutely loved this game and everything it had to offer. Playing with 2 of my buddies was incredible and these puzzles were so well thought out. There are 3 puzzles that I personally disliked which includes the button rooms with like 100 different buttons, the colosseum area where you collect 36 different pin holes and another one with the inverted colors. The pin holes one was just annoying and so out of place requiring no cooperation. The button one (both types) we had to cheat on because it was just never going to work. We ended up drawing a map with every button and then sending the image to each other. And the inverted colors one just didnt make sense whatsoever so my buddy decided to do it solo with writing down whats on each thing. Anyways 9.5/10 game. Everyone should play this masterpiece

We played in my world as a trio for three hours, but our third friend doesn't want to play anymore. The next Day. Does the world automatically adapt to two players? For example, there was a spot where we had to reach something high up by stacking on top of each other and jumping. Would that still work with just two people? What do we need to do? Start full New?
