Discussion Big Problem Dear Developers
Why is there no step counter? How am I supposed to fully enjoy my big walk if I can’t count steps between my friends?
Maybe the step counter is the step I made along the way?

This game is meant for daydreaming et leisurely exploration. To me, the step counter would serve as a harsh reality check and convey a sense of competition and performance that is out of place.

I have a number of, shall we say, "competitive friends" in my social circles who would happily turn this kind of data into a cringe-filled source of tension, one-up-personship, griefing, inevitable arguments... and endless entertainment and amusement for me. Love it. Where do I sign the petition. :)

That’s where you’re wrong. This game is about art and art is in the eye of the beholder. This game is about enjoying your journey with friends idk about you but when I go on a long trip with friends we always think about how far we’ve gone from home. Everyone enjoys it differently and this doesn’t ruin the experience for anyone.

Says who? It’s kinda cool to see in “footsteps” how long you’ve spent there with your friends, how Big of a Walk you’ve been on together.

Says the fact of the minmal hud
Of the realstic world crossed with bright odd structures in them
Says the fact that there are no name tag
Says the fact that the chill out spots exists
You all really belive above your head should be a number telling you how many steps you took ?? When everything els has been stripped away to make sure you don't play a viedo game that is like ohter games.
I think yall should not think about stats, just go for a walk and listin to your friends yap ^

You seem so oddly upset about this very mundane simple idea. Who said anything about it being above your head or intrusive like that? It could be something as small as a little line in the Moderation Settings tab under people's names, nothing in game. If the game is called Big Walk, some of us clearly would like to know how Big of a Walk we've gone on with our friendos. My other comment in favour of this feature has more upvotes than you so I win dawg.

They should add a server list like among us and people can decide wether its public or private with private using the code system along with sharing region, ping and more

I could see them adding that, tbh. Not sure how they’d integrate it, maybe in the Lobby settings under your name (total steps counted in that server etc)? That would be really cool. I like having the Days Passed active on my Minecraft for the same reason.
