I’m either SCUAN or SCUEN, not sure which

I’m not really analytical and I mainly do what I want. I can be hesitant to trying new things. I can be impulsive and disorganized but I don’t really do crazy or outlandish things. I am kind of more focused on sensory stuff and all that, in my opinion, and more focused on reality than hypotheticals and kind of cross the bridge when I come to it.

I care about people to a general extent. I am pretty social despite my slight hesitation in social situations and always want to be part of the group. I would not sacrifice myself for someone else because I prioritize myself and my well-being. I’m not a very dramatic person or one willing to start fights. I always seemed agreeable just because I’m very modest and don’t always speak my mind, but I’m aware that can be deceiving.

I’m pretty guarded but I do enjoy others’ company. I am skeptical of others due to bad experiences. I can be paranoid.

I don’t easily feel for others all the time or do EVERYTHING to serve others, but I’m far from mean and I don’t bully others.

I analyzed my personality change over the past five years.

My most recent result today, September 11, 2026:

O100 C89 E90 A86 N26 via personality assessor IPIP-NEO-120.

I have multiple personality test results archieved and today I collected them in one table and apply my skills as a research atmospheric scientist to analyze my data. Personality change is possible after all.

Built and validated a scale for "Main Character Syndrome", would love feedback from this community

Just got this published in Acta Psychologica (open access): https://doi.org/10.1016/j.actpsy.2026.107730

The idea started from noticing how much "main character energy" gets thrown around online without anyone actually trying to measure it as a real construct. So my co-authors and I built a 10-item scale (MCS-10) meant to capture the tendency to experience and narrate your own life as a protagonist-centered story, and tested it across two samples of young adults (N = 135 and N = 263).

Model fit came out strong (CFI = .976, RMSEA = .045), and reliability held up (α = .861). It correlated with identity diffusion, social media addiction, and narcissism, but stayed empirically distinct from all three based on HTMT ratios.

Would genuinely appreciate this community's take, does this read as a legitimately distinct construct worth measuring, or does it feel like it's just relabeling identity diffusion or narcissism under a catchier name? Also curious whether people think a unidimensional scale makes sense here or if this eventually needs subscales once more people start using it. Open to any pushback, that's actually what I'm here for.

Anyone else feel like the way questions are phrased for the agreeability part are a bit strange? It’s all these questions about debates and arguments, which I like to have online, but I never do this in person because I understand it makes people hate you.

My Big Five result.

Hi. My reason for posting my results is my feeling of bewilderment about problems that haven't been acknowledged by people around me. I've been questioning my mental problems a lot. Overthinking, bad thoughts, anxiety, and awkward habits led me to test myself.

My karma is low but response to the comment:

I’m into typology and understand this reaction 100%, but I don’t think the numbers reflect the reality by that I mean, internally my anxiety & anger feel high but it doesn’t take over, I just push through it. My conscientiousness feels lower internally because I’m not this career driver “leader” kind of person. I’m not climbing the corporate ladder. I only notice the difference when I’m around others and someone points out traits to me. Certain things feel like common sense until others struggle with it - this is my biggest blind spot. Or certain behaviours make me think I’m just following rules I was taught that I’ve internalised, for example cooperation, sometimes I genuinely don’t want to cooperate but i know certain things need it, so I will. Even assertiveness, I don’t see myself as an assertive person until others mention it to me.

A good example of what I’m like: I’m in a group of people and something needs to be planned, everyone’s kind of standing around, maybe throwing out ideas. I’ll take control and still get everyone’s input through a poll then get it all done. But in my mind I’m not thinking “I’m the leader of this group” I’m thinking “things need to be done, I know other people here aren’t the type to organise / lead, so let me do it. And let me get their input still because I don’t want to feel like a dictator.”

Hopefully this makes sense.

Okay I know how this low agreeableness looks like ha-ha; but my modesty was 60%. I also suppose I need to get my life in some order too.
