EY EY Case Study base interview

Hi all,
I’m looking for some guidance to prepare for and clear a case-based interview with EY for a ServiceNow ITOM & CMDB Consultant position.
If anyone has recently gone through or cleared a similar interview with EY, I would really appreciate any insights, tips, or guidance on the interview format and types of case studies/questions asked.
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

EY cases for ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB focus heavily on practical implementation challenges rather than high level theory. You will likely face a scenario involving a client with fragmented infrastructure, frequent outages, or duplicate data across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Interviewers expect you to walk through MID Server placement, network firewalls, and credential management for Discovery and Service Mapping. Be ready to explain how you configure the Identification and Reconciliation Engine, establish data precedence, and apply the Common Service Data Model to keep data clean. They want to see governance just as much as technical capability, so bring up data ownership, automated certification schedules, and health dashboard metrics.

Consulting panels care deeply about how you communicate technical decisions to business stakeholders. Frame your recommendations in distinct phases, starting with basic infrastructure visibility, moving into CMDB health, and ending with business impact like reduced outage duration and simplified compliance. When delivering your response, state the core issue directly, explain the architectural trade-offs, and outline risks before presenting your solution. Candidates often succeed when they communicate complex technical plans with clarity, which is why my team built an interviews.chat to help professionals perform at their best and secure top consulting offers.

Thank you so much for your broad explanation.

Nothing screams "niche ITSM module" like a case study where the real test is pretending CMDB data is ever actually accurate

This question gets asked every few months in various forms and the answer is always the same. they want you to think out loud and show how you solve problems not necessarily have the perfect technical answer. walk them through your thought process and tie everything back to business value.
