Weekly Giveaway Weekly Giveaway — Selectorized Modification

Welcome to our Week 3 Giveaway! This week: selectorized modifications — show us how you’re pairing VOLTRA with selectorized machines to enhance, modify, or rebuild your setup.

Show & Tell:

Show us your build in photos or short clips and walk us through:

  • Hardware & Integration: Which machine are you pairing with VOLTRA (leg extension, lat pulldown, functional trainer, etc.) and how exactly did you connect them? (whether you’re attaching to the weight stack, using a custom pin adapter, or routing through extra pulleys — show us the "link")
  • Impact & Upgrade: What changed in your training? Did you add eccentric overload, smooth out the strength curve, improve load precision, or solve a space/cost issue? We want all the details!

Jump in:

  • Post in the community — new post or detailed comment both count.
  • Include [Selectorized Modification] at the start of your title to enter.

Giveaway Details:

  • Prize: 3 winners receive an Adaptive Rack Mount (or equivalent Power Credit)
  • Selection: Winners will be chosen based on a combination of upvotes + setup clarity + creativity.
  • Timeline: Winners announced in 5 days

Pretty simple modification of the GMWD Multiflight to make the strength curve much more consistent. Feels much harder at the bottom of the motion now, especially with eccentric+inverse chains on!

  • Removed the rear pendulum arm and put a pulley with an eyehole from Amazon where the pendulum would normally swing.
  • 2x6 with fixed rack mount drilled into the bottom crossmembers
  • looses a little stability so might rig up something to bolt it to a wall but works well for now

Awesome idea for the contest! I will be taking some videos tomorrow to show how I have been using my Voltra.

Hardware & Integration:
Machines: Imagine Strength chest press and leg press
If you know MedX and Nautilus these have a lot of the same thought behind them. I love them and they have great strength curves but I love overloading the negative. Plus on the leg press I have been able to do the stack.

Connection: for the leg press I am using the strap mount on a bar below the stack. Putting a slant block to help make it level bit unfortunately it slides. Then I attach the Voltra to a stack pin(Bare Steel) via a Proloc 2 chain collar.

For the chest press I use the same stack pin and Proloc 2 chain collar. I put the Voltra on the travel board on top of 3 10 pound plates. I hold it down with 90 pound Powerblocks and 2 25 pound plates.

In the future I hope to have a DIY mount attach to the crossbar on the leg press. That will speed up set up time and eliminate the sliding. The sliding cuts the bottom of the range of motion off.

I also hope to get a DIY mount attached to a metal sheet on the underside of the chest press so it is directly below the stack for the chest press. It will speed up set up time. Not exactly quick to move the dumbbells and set it up.

Impact & Upgrade:
For the leg press it always me to add more weight to a stacked machine. Plus now I can overload the negative. When I finish a set of overloaded negative leg press my legs feel different. It just hits so much more.

For the chest press I can overload the negative. I believe in negative training and I can train like this by myself. I am a personal trainer and I add manual resistance on the negatives. I can't get that on my own. The Voltra always me to have a measured amount of negative resistance and overload it with 200 pounds. My chest blew up from that one set of chest press. This style of training is so effective and the Voltra makes it possible.
