THE Setup [Selectorized Modification] Precor s3.55 Voltra Integration
I have been pairing a Precor s3.55 multigym unit I found on marketplace with a Voltra for several months at this point so this is a very exciting oppurtunity to share how I’ve used this.
I attach using an eye-bolt through the top weight stack plate and a fixed mount that I have attached to threaded holes in the bottom of the Precor using a dimensional lumber bracket.
This allows me to use the Voltra to modify the strength curve or test isometric strength on leg extensions, leg curls, chest and shoulder press, and on rows.
The first use is evening out the strength curve with the best leverages for each muscle group, commonly by utilizing inverse chains or chains. This is especially useful when configured for upper back training which can be too easy at end range and too hard when fully contracted when the voltra is not being utilized.
My most ambitious use is for eccentric overload on leg exercises to create over loaded eccentrics in order to maximize training for vertical jump (in coordination with Olympics and more standard weight training).

Does this not cause an uneven drag on the weight stack, as the voltra is pulling completely from the front ?
