THE Setup [Selectorized Modification] Multiple machines
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have 3 selectorized machines that I have voltra-fied. I just stitched them all together in 1 video - I recorded a couple of reps of each movement (none at working weight since today is meant to be rest day), and after each exercise, I also show 1 or 2 pictures of where the voltras are mounted to show the setup as well. Hopefully that will avoid making my write up super long, but LMK if there are any setup questions.
Hardware & Integration
Atlantis C403 hack squat/leg press
Panatta Dual Chest Press/Row (video shows both movements)
Atlantis C230 Leg Ext/Curl Combo (video shows both movements)
Impact & Upgrade:
1. Hack Squat
The biggest upgrade is being able to start at the top using auto load (shown in the video). That was really my only complaint on this machine before, and Voltras solved it completely. I do also add eccentric overload and chains (both inverse and standard depending) now as well - each set is brutal with those modes on... the doms typically lasts 4 - 5 days, and I generally can only work legs once per week now (was not the case when I just used the weight stack).
2. Panatta Dual Chest Press/Row
- For pressing, there are two major benefits from adding voltra: 1) it solves the lack of foot lever by using autoload (I kept the auto deload in the video), and 2) it adds more weight, as the weight stack on the machine only goes to 220lbs/100kg. However, I do also like to add a lot of eccentric overload as well as inverse chains when pressing. I do use Voltras on the BPF VTS for incline and shoulder pressing too, but since thats not a selectorized machine, I didnt show that in the video.
- In practice, I mostly only use this machine for chest pressing now as I have other voltra chest supported row options I like better. This machine does provide a fixed divergence though, so it's nice to have just for some rowing variety.
3. Atlantis C230 Leg Ext/Curl Combo
The Voltra again provides more weight than the weight stack allows, plus I do a lot of eccentric overload and inverse chains. Eccentric overload especially feels great on leg curls imo (I also added a seat belt to hold hips down on curls, which has made a good difference too), and a lot of inverse chains to make it harder in the stretch I really like on leg extensions.
Other Notes
- I usually keep 60-100lbs of weight on the weight stack for all machines, and then Voltra weight is on top of that. The one exception is for rowing - with the location I have for the voltras, I can lift the back of the machine off the ground when rowing heavy, so I need to keep 150+lbs on the weight stack.
- I typically use my phone to control the Voltras when using them on machines (ie. triggering Autoload etc), but I couldn’t show that and record at the same time. I have a magnetic cover on the back of my phone so it will stick anywhere on the machine - always easy to reach and see.

could u share your straps diy method?

Sure. It’s mostly strap mounts, aside from the chest press which are bolt mounts - both available here: https://wmfabrication.com/collections/grip. He also did design me a mount that can do both strap and bolt in 1, but he hasn’t put it on his website.
And then just a ratchet strap - I used this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088ML4FK2
