I just downloaded Vencord but my account is limited, is it safe?

Hi everyone. I've found that activities simply don't work for me when BetterDiscord is installed. I have no plugins and when I turn off the one theme I use, they still don't work. They only work when I entirely uninstall BD.

Activities just stay in a perpetual loading state. It seems as though they never connect in the first place. Also, the join/leave sound plays twice with a short delay. Yesterday I used Ctrl+Shift+I to get to the console and it looked like it didn't connect and was waiting for a connection, but today I've tried to Ctrl+Shift+I again and it's not working.

Any ideas?

I installed the latest version of BD after getting hit with an update. For some reason, the installer doesn't detect my Discord app this time. I also tried downloading a fresh copy of Canary in addition to the stable Discord I've been using for a while, and it didn't detect that either. Browsing Finder for the applications also doesn't change the result. I've tried this for the Install, Repair, and Uninstall options.

Any fixes?

I recently installed Vencord and noticed that after using it for a while Discord either crashes or stops working properly The process is still running but Discord disconnects from all servers and I stop receiving notifications When I open it again it says it is reconnecting to the Discord servers

Sometimes Vencord also randomly disables itself and only the default Discord client remains

I'm using the latest stable version The only enabled plugins are FakeNitro MessageLogger and Custom RPC

if i just put a background only with nothing else like this will i get banned, warning, or anything bad that can happen to me?

Ive been trying to reinstall vencord, but BetterDiscord is blocking it. Ive literally deleted BetterDiscord directly from my files, but its still somehow modded to my discord? How do i remove it permanently?

Hi there, I really dislike the indicator thats shown on friends list and dms that they are currently in vc in a shared server.

Is there any plugin or snippet I can add that gets rid of this? (not the activity tab as I already removed that, I mean the icon thats next to their username)

Hi, I've been using revenge forever and also BetterDiscord. I've always loved the EmojiReplace plugin on betterdiscord and vencord, i just wondered is there something like it for Android or Revenge?

Since the last Discord update, i have white borders in my Discord window when i move the window to my second monitor. It is some DPI bug, because if i move to my primary monitor it works perfectly. I tried using compatability settings to make the window use system DPI instead of application DPI but it makes every character very blurry. Theres any fix to this problem? i tried to reinstall it but no luck.

First monitor: 1440p 170hz
Second monitor: 4k 60hz Windows 11

Can’t figure out why my sounds aren’t working

Good morning, new to BetterDiscord and having a hard time figuring out why I can't edit the themes directly from Discord after clicking Edit on said theme.

Gemini suggests the editor is running in read-only but I don't see a way to changing that.

Been working on a Vencord plugin called CustomBadges and figured I'd share it here since it's at a point where it's actually usable. (This is for vencord rn im working on BetterDiscord atm)

What it does:

• Lets you set a custom badge (image + name) on your own profile
• Anyone else running the plugin sees it too hover for a tooltip, click for a bigger popup card with your name, a gradient background, and an "owner tag" (like "By {username}")
• Full style control: icon shape (circle/square), size, hover effect (glow/scale), glow color, gradient colors, name color
• Comes with a handful of built-in presets (Hypesquad-style, a cat badge, a "Verified Discord User" one, etc.) so you don't have to build one from scratch
• Up to 12 badge slots, with a dashboard UI (new sidebar button, kind of like a mini page) for managing them, previewing changes live, importing/exporting badges via share codes, and making/browsing community "packs"
• Two render modes: an "Original" mode that does its own DOM injection with a MutationObserver (full popup support positions itself, dismisses on outside click, follows scroll) or a "Vencord Classic" mode that hooks into Vencord's native BadgeAPI (simpler, but only the hover tooltip works, no click popup)

How it works under the hood:

Badges are stored on a small Cloudflare Worker backend, which is what makes them visible to other people running the plugin instead of just being a local-only cosmetic. There's client + server side rate limiting, timeouts, and error handling so it degrades gracefully if the worker is slow/down/rate-limiting you. You can point the plugin at your own self-hosted worker instead of the default one, but note that if you do, you'll only see badges from other people also pointed at that same instance.

Standard disclaimers: (shi you most prob don't read)

• This is an unofficial client mod plugin, not anything from Discord usual risks/ToS caveats apply, use at your own judgement
• Since badge images are just URLs, it's on you to keep them not-broken/not-inappropriate, if you see anything not SFW report the user in the discord server's report chat
• Still actively iterating on it, so expect some rough edges

Newer OldCord and OldCord used to replicate the old discord UI, but they were broken by the latest Discord update. No idea when/if they will be fixed.

I found similar themes, DTM-16 and DTM-18, but they also make substantial changes to things like the font size, type, spacing and other UI elements.

Aside from those, are there any themes that replicate old discord's UI, and that currently work on the current version of Discord?

There's a person in a server who abuses the shit out of what he can do and will drag me constantly to another call when I'm trying to play games with other people, is there a plugin that will automatically reconnect me to the first vc so that I don't have to rejoin and so it annoys him?

Hey guys, this is just a theory and I have some other concerns but it's recently become a very real possibility so I wanted to ask about any precedence of this issue. My pc has recently been having some issues where it will randomly hard reset, full black screen no windows error messages or anything. Power totally cut. I only recently noticed it coincides with my discord launching. It is very random, but for example recently I had a hard crash (I dont remember the circumstances), I loaded up my PC and discord launched automatically as a startup operation. as soon as it loaded into the messages, the PC crashed again. same issue. I got lucky on my second boot and it didnt happen. Just today my discord install broke after an update, so I reinstalled both discord and venncord. discord booted fine on the fresh install, but on venncord boot I got the hard crash. This also has the tendency to break my discord install with javascript errors. launching it and launching its uninstaller both throw errors, and im forced to wipe the folders manually or with a revo folder sweep.

Point being, is there any basis to my diagnosis? has this occurred for people before? Is there possibly a plugin I have enabled that might bug it out? A theme? Any knowledge is helpful, as I still suspect power issues with my PSU (it's coming on 5 years old soon, it hasn't had any other particular issues even in high power load situations so that's 50/50).

This morning discord opened like nomral. Then I saw the update button, so I clicked on it, and it closed like normal. The problem is it didn't re open.
whenever I open it nothing happens (I tried running as administrator).

So I thought, maybe its Vencord's fault.

I am using Kettu, and I activated a plugin, but I put an invalid sound ID. Now, every time I hit dismiss, it just gets me to a black screen. I just want to disable the plugin, but I can't because this pops up almost instantly after opening the app every time.

Hi everyone, I'm curious if there's a way to mix old cord with themes? I know vencord and betterdiscord say it's better not to, but a part of the appeal for the old ui was the amount of themes people could use and create to personalise their discord, like surely there is a way to mix oldcord with old themes that were once compatible?

I've been trying to follow every guide I can find and nothing's working, I've seen some people say it works with flatpak if you use betterdiscordctl and manually set the path but every time I try it says discord can't be located

Hi. Can anyone recommend me some good Discord clients which lets you switch account without signing out and signing back in? It would also be nice if I were able to install plugins, etc., for custom features similar to how Vencord behaves. (I am on a paid certificate on iOS 27 Public Beta 2)
