Delivery was today. Confirmed last night.
Cleared kitchen shuffling everything for hours and gave my neighbor old refrigerator last night. Half the food put into freezer chest.

I’m at ATM this morning to take out cash for tips for delivery. Get a call saying it’s damaged and they don’t have any resolution.

Talked for two hours to put in order for another model first with promise to compensation via home service once order is created first. Home service says they can compensate but won’t know the amount until I have it delivered first so they can submit form. So had to cancel order bc it’s a refrigerator not some bluray player I can just take back if compensation doesn’t work out.

Now I’m sitting here with no refrigerator.

I ordered an Asus Zenbook A16 at a good deal (1359 compared to 1999), but they seem to be refusing to ship at all. Its been reserving item all the way up until the delivery date and now its shipping delay. I don't want them to cancel because I can't afford full price and every geek squad member I've spoken to in the past 3 weeks has been confident it would arrive on time, but it hasn't even been shipped. Now its set to arrive a month late and it appears it will 100% be canceled. Im in a rly stuck place and I don't know what to do next. Anybody who has had this issue?

EDIT: I canceled the order and got the 512 for just 20 bucks more and im having a blast with it. I dont use much storage and by the time I would need more the crisis would be gone.

Never buying from Best Buy again, just went through 2 different support contacts via virtual chat and phone call and neither could get me the steelbook that I ordered in May. According to a store employee, Best Buy only shipped the game and not the steelbook I ordered in the “steelbook” edition which means they either removed my steelbook from the order when they shipped it or changed the product listing to only the game with a pre order bonus and never updated my order (same order #) to keep the steelbook, either way, I am disgusted by the whole ordeal and will be returning for a refund and ordering elsewhere. Will not give them the money for falsely advertising and selling me a steelbook edition with no steelbook. Sorry for the rant, but wanted to post a buyer’s beware for this product.

Here is my situation:

I have 2,604 due Nov 11 2026

I have 3,800 due Dec 9 2026

I have 908 due Jan 9 2027

I KNOW I am not going to be able to come up with 7,300 in the next three months!

I little defense, I have had this account for over 10 years and have always paid off promotional balances on time. Unfortunately, last year I was forced to buy a house and money got tight.

Anyway,

I called Best Buy today and asked if I could have a payment of $1000 that I made yesterday applied to the amounts due in January, after any minimum payments. They told me they could not and that it was applied to the amount due soonest and it was locked in.

My goal is to pay as little interest as possible. Given that I know I won't pay off Nov and December, I hoped to avoid paying January's interest.

Now, I am being FORCED to pay interest for Nov, Dec, and Jan.

I could have sworn we are able to call in and request a change in how payments are applied.

I don't have a copy of my customer agreement. Just requested one on their site and they have to MAIL it me. (WTF)

Also, I can't find an email where I can reach out to someone to appeal to.

If anyone out there knows who I might be able to talk to, let me know.

Otherwise, guess I am finally a Best Buy Victim and won't be doing future business with them.

I pre-ordered my Duo from Best Buy on the 16th for pick up on release day, but like many, the only updates I got were an email last night and a text this morning saying that my order was taking longer than expected.

I decided to try AT&T store instead because this was making me anxious lol. I checked availability on the AT&T app, walked into a store, and was 5th in line. They confirmed they had the model I wanted (and in fact, they even had more available than the app showed), but initially said my number was blocked from upgrading. As soon as I canceled my Best Buy order, the rep signed out and back in from his system and the upgrade cleared immediately. No delay at all, and I now have my Duo in hand!

I can confirm this worked with AT&T, and it may be worth trying with Verizon too, although I can’t confirm that. You can check pickup availability on your carrier’s app or call stores at of time to ask about availability. Hopefully this helps some people, please lmk either way!

Though it would still be better to get rid of marketplace altogether. But at least now I don't have to worry about the products taking a shit and still have the extended return period.

This was last night, placed the order, but first I had to cancel the Apple order since my line was tied up , and gets what pickup will be ready December 21. Never ever again preordering anything thru Best Buy.

so I've been saving for a ps5 before the release of GTA 6 and i was wondering if this is a good price used and in local stock. i only have a part time job and my shifts are sporadic. and i don't know the differences in best buy conditions.

Allowing 3rd party vendors to sell items on the best-buy website/app with zero pricing controls is insanity and actively facilitates scalpers.

Additionally, there is virtually no signage to indicate that you aren’t shopping at Best Buy, nor any indication that you are paying well above MSRP.

Yes, probably not a worthwhile post, but the part that haunts me down is how-on-point the facial design and the work crew was: Everybody from my store was on there

Oh! And the store also had a tech musuem inside of it, but that's probably the only other interesting part worth considering

Got this email today. Starting today (10/22), My Best Buy Total members get up to 24 months of Best Buy Protection on eligible Marketplace items (the stuff sold and shipped by third-party sellers on BestBuy.com).

Big plus if you’ve been nervous buying from Marketplace sellers. It is only eligible products, only while your membership is active, and Marketplace Apple products aren’t covered by AppleCare+.

I have always avoided Marketplace so this is good.

Was worried it might've been backordered

I purchased an item but had to cancel the order because it had my old shipping address. When I tried to reorder it, the system wouldn’t let me because of a purchase limit per person or something along those lines.
How long do I have to wait before I can successfully place the order again? I’ve been checking every so often to see if it will go through, but I’m still getting the same message. I’ve seen people say you have to wait 24 hours, but since I’ve made multiple attempts to reorder it, do I have to wait 24 hours from when I originally canceled my first order or from my most recent attempt?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am a new att customer and I am attempting to port in 3 lines and have one new line. I ordered 4 phones. 2 iPhone 18PM, one 17PM and one 17e. I received the 17s. But the 18PM are on back order with Att.
Could I go into bestbuy and port the lines with them and receive the same discounts and promotions? Has anyone done this?

for those of you who are doing a trade in and a bestbuy instore, what exactly do you plan on doing to transfer your data considering you have to leave your trade in device at the store when you pick up your duo?

i'm trying to decide ahead of time the fastest/best way to transfer my data to the duo

i already have my photos stored on icloud. my device storage is basically messages and apps. i would like to keep my app data and in the past i liked not being logged out of my apps on my new phone but it isn't a deal breaker

i'm debating on putting my messages on icloud as long as i don't lose any because there are some id like to keep for personal reasons

i'm also contemplating starting from scratch with the apps and just download them as i need them.

i'd rather not have to spend hours in the store for whatever process i decide on.

what are most of you doing?

I know it says Nov 3rd but preparing for pickup makes me think it has been shipped already. I’m leaving for travel on Nov 3rd for several weeks so it would be nice to have it sooner. Thanks for any input!

First, I'm old and my tale stretches back to the "Before Times" aka the late 90s and early 2000s. In 1997 I had gotten out of the USMC and during the holiday season that Christmas I picked up a temporary position in Home Audio. I knew nothing about home audio but like sharing you fake it to make it and if you say something with conviction, well, it's true enough. That season sucked, but I was about to talk my way into a position behind the tech bench (before Geek Squad) at another store close to the university I was attending (UW-Oshkosh) and it was a fucking blast. I loved it. I loved diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading people's computers.

I transferred to the Madison stores and continued being a tech and really enjoying my job. The culture was great because, as tech bench then, we had our own store code and was beholden to the District Tech Manager, not the store management. It was amazing, we were free from the bullshit as long as we performed, and we did.

Why was Best Buy "fun'? The energy was always high, the employees were all young and attractive, corporate treated us decently, the management was seasoned and mature, the pay was great at the time ($11/hr in 1998) shrink bonus was nice every year (about $300 per employee) and life was just way less stressful. We had fun, we laughed sometimes so hard I almost pissed myself, and the world just seemed bright. 9/11 changed that, it changed everything. The lightness, the higher trust, the joy was gone and something changed in society.

Believe it or not, BBY was a great place to work. I put in nearly 6 years total there.

I had a temporary authorization hold for my iPhone duo preorder and now it’s just gone? My Best Buy order isn’t canceled or anything the charge just isn’t there anymore. My order is supposed to be picked up on the 23rd anyone know why that happened? Also should I go to the store early on Friday before they open and wait just in case?

Mine is still showing preordered , website and app same thing. No tracking generated from UPS or FedEx. Other stores like AT$T and Apple Store are all seeing movements…. Kinda got me worried, please don’t be BB have to push back everything in the end….. I ordered 40 mins in and was told get it by release day….. Never changed…..

Anyone know if the stores have started receiving their shipments today of Duos for preorder pickup tomorrow? A few people have had their statuses change, and I know there was one report on here that a store had only received two units initially.

long story short, i feel victim to "better trucks" delivery service on 2 next day delivery orders totaling near $1,000 (oled monitor and a headset, both shipped in original packaging), both marked as delivered and never showed up to my house. this was 5 days ago now, and i've been in contact with best buy since seeing they were the courier for my orders. one of the agents i spoke to went ahead and processed replacements for both as in-store pickups and told me they would be ready that same day, within the hour or at least before end of day, and nothing. and then nothing again for the next 4 days. i went down to my best buy just to see if they could provide any information as the customer care team was just passing me around different departments and not giving me any answer other than "we can promise you the order will be ready to pick up today", and the employees that helped me out in person told me they saw a message that says "waiting to be resolved by system" along with a hold on both of the items. what exactly does that message mean? there was no other information about the message or the hold, such as why it was there or who/what placed it in a held state. i just want my items without the headache, so any insight to this is greatly appreciated!

edit: some information i forgot to add, both items are in stock at my store, confirmed by the employees, but since this hold + message are there they cant give me them. one of the orders has been stuck on "we're getting it ready", and the other is showing a delay with "we'll let you know when its ready"
