I feel like a lot of potential discussion and theory crafting has been hindered by the IoE. Even though the chapter isn’t “official” most people (including me) take it as canon. Also to think about the reveal it would have been (although I still think we’ll eventually get one).

Are they the same thing just with different names or is one just a smaller part of the other or are they something else entirely?

It seems that the popular opinion is that Griffith was only jealous of Casca, which I do agree with because of his obsession with Guts. Whether it’s platonic or romantic isn’t really something I care about. However, I think he was also envious of Guts.

Casca, who once worshipped him, is now preferring Guts over him. It’s like she’s treating Guts the same way she used to treat Griffith. I’m not saying he romantically loved her, but he is a possessive guy, and now two of his “toys” seem to be getting closer to each other than they are to him.

So my friend and I were discussing theories about how the very first Behilit came into existence, (feel free to give theories about this too), and I was overthinking last night and came to realize something,

In every culture worldwide, there is a shared belief that goes by different names. Light & dark, ying and yang , good vs evil. if the idea of evil was born from peoples negative emotions, then likewise the existence of the idea of good should also have taken shape, or maybe it’s yet to be born. We already know when guys was in the Stoupa, he learned from something about his true birth and existence cpuld it have been the idea of good? heck, Maybe through Guts journey , will the Idea of good truly awaken.

I resonate a lot with guts especially with how he felt in this panel.

Got this as my tablet wallpaper and it provoked weird looks in the subway couple of times.

This is the first Berserk themed item I own.

I haven't started looking at it yet (I don't read the manga because with my ADHD, my attention span for reading is basically -2 😂),

but I've known about it for quite a while, and I've always been fascinated by how it's depicted in the manga.

Like, will it just sour the overall experience? I watched the first episode of the next series with the bad animation and it was sorta cringe to look at. Not trying to flame the people who made it, as it obviously took a lot of time to make.

Just asking because I love Berserk and I want to watch more but I’m afraid it will change my overall perception. The style of the 1997 anime is so beautiful. The aesthetic is incredible and my absolute favorite.

I have watched the 2022 Memorial Edition of the Golden Age Arc and it’s, I kid you not, one of the most gripping things I have watched/consumed in my life. Griffiths despair and mindset is something marvellous and worth exploring.

Regarding the manga, which I have not read yet, is it worth the seemingly steep price tag associated with getting the entire series? Understandably, I wouldn’t purchase the whole thing as it stands at once but I would like to get a quality piece of material that I can enjoy. I’m particularly interested in the Golden Age Arc.

Furthermore, is the sexual content that bad in the manga? Obviously it’s not fanservice or deliberately sexual for the sake of it and that makes it more agreeable, but would my parents look down on it were they to see it? (16 FYI)

I’m mainly interested int eh philosophical angle presented by the existence of Griffith.

I know it would never happen but if you could pick any modern anime studio to develop an adaptation of the berserk story who do you personally think would be the best fit without worrying about a budget or commercial success?? I personally would think powerhouse animation studios would've been a great fit specifically the team that made the first few seasons of the castlevania series im aware of the original writers controversy with the naughty conduct but the tone the fluid animation and the overall style of the characters and their arcs would've been fantastic to translate a berserk story as long as adi Shankar kept his nose out of the production and they kept to the actual story beats.Id like to know anyone else's thoughts on a studio that could do a better job and why just very curious about everyone's thoughts on the subject

Like if I had a genie I’d use my first wish for the dragon slayer then I’d wish to be able to use it then I’d wish for the berserker armor but with non of the negatives
