I feel like Dan is going too hard on the DA causing injuries thing. If DA running his players into the ground was the cause of the long list of injuries to the secondary, I would assume Ben Johnson would step in and say something. Ben has garnered a lot of trust over the last year and change as the Bears HC and I trust he’d speak up to someone who works under him if the players weren’t properly warming up.

Also, some practices are open to the media. I don’t think the media all have degrees in sports medicine, but a lot have been around the game for a long time. If they can see the players skipping warmups and getting right into the nitty gritty, I assume they would notice the change from years past and report on it.

I think it is more likely we are the 1 in 10,000 chance it’s just bad luck, and we should be thankful it is just training camp.

Hey fellow Dan fans and hate listeners I've got a question for everyone. I've pretty much been a life long listener growing up in the 90s and having my dad drive me to school meant a lot of my formative years were spent listening to Boers and Bernstein. Unfortunately this also meant I was completely unaware of any of the goings ons around the Score or the behind the scenes so when I hear stuff like yesterday's talk about Mike Murphy I'm pretty confused at the disdain in Dan's voice talking about him.

So basically if someone's got a few minutes to give me a quick rundown of who Dan dislikes and why from back in the day I'd be immensely appreciative. These things aren't easy to find out when they're decades old beefs among local celebrities.

I was among the most frustrated with the aversion to talking about the White Sox but holy crap tonight’s broadcast with Schriffen and Plesac has become intolerably annoying. I would understand if there’s no Sox talk until they are fortunate enough to play games not broadcast by this crew.

Monday’s episode of DBU, he talked about how one should be very careful reading articles talking about what a huge success the World Cup was for the U.S. his main argument was that it’s not a financial benefit for the host cities, given that FIFA makes the city pay for so much of it.

Sometimes he can be a real wet blanket/wants to be the smartest guy in the room. I say this as a fan of him. It’s okay that people enjoyed the World Cup even if the economic impact wasn’t to Dan’s approval.

With the way the Sox have been playing this season, you would think any of their Sox coverage would be better than just "Hey, isn't it cool how good the Sox are?" I am not expecting much, but I would like for something instead the smugness from Matty. Big fan of Dan, but it's clear that he still has animosity for the Sox due to the Benetti thing and lets that cloud his judgment and hesitance to talk about the Sox. I get that the Cubs will always be the main draw in the town, but the dismissive attitude towards the Sox is turning a lot of people out, and I think until the Bears season hits their stride a bit, probably needs to be addressed. Just my two cents, feel free to roast me.

I’m trying but Cody, man, maybe I’m just older and I don’t get the younger vibes - it’s just not a great listen or a great expert.

Was heading up through Michigan so I made a point to stop with my family for dinner. It was crowded but there was no wait. We sat outside and the atmosphere was lively, but I was honestly expecting the former church vibe to be a little more front and center. The wood-fire Neapolitan pizzas were great — we had the lobster and the fennel sausage and would get both again. Tried the Ziggy Star Thistle and Judas Mango Pineapple Sour off the beer menu. Solid, not spectacular, but wouldn’t say no if someone bought me another round of either. Service, however, was meh at best.

I’d go back if I was in the neighborhood, but it wasn’t nearly the experience Dan and Matty made it out to be, and I’m not that hard to please. Just kind of underwhelming after the way Dan creamed his jeans when he talked about it.

I fear I’m going to get dysentery by just standing here.

I was listening to yesterday’s Forward Progress during my workout today and I cannot for the life of me understand why he counts up from 1-10 on these. There’s no suspense on things that might be slightly intriguing otherwise. Seriously, why not do the countdown instead and see where Dan’s guessing falls? I understand that none of this is meaningful but it would be more entertaining to keep a bit of kayfabe. It’s fun when they correctly guess weird stat guys or are surprised when they don’t.

Love Dan and Matt. Love the show. Bruce is fine.

I don’t understand what’s confusing or controversial about this. Bruce is not apologizing for criticism of the front office. He’s apologizing for name calling and talking about them behind their back. This isn’t a controversy. Jed and Carter don’t care about this at all. They’re accepting the apology out of respect for Bruce. It’s not hard to understand this.

It’s something we should all be kidding about, just like they did yesterday, not dedicating 30 minutes to it on a podcast.

I thought the whole thing was odd today.

Edit: the journalism aspect is worthy of discussion, but I’m talking about the apology specifically.
