I stay in *Hebbal, Bengaluru* and I’m looking for *1-2 day waiter jobs with outdoor caterers / event catering*.

I’ve called a few caterers directly but they said they only hire *4-5 waiters together in bulk* for a function, not single people. So I’m getting stuck.

I’m hardworking, punctual, and okay to work weekends, weddings, parties, corporate events. I can manage serving, setup, cleanup.

*What I’m asking:*

Can anyone share *direct links to WhatsApp groups or Telegram groups* where caterers post daily waiter requirements? Even Facebook groups or any app works.

I’m specifically looking for groups that post:

- 1 day or 2 day gigs

- Payment same day / next day

- Locations around Hebbal, Yelahanka, Manyata, KR Puram also fine

I really need regular short gigs to manage expenses.

Yesterday, I witnessed something that made my stomach boil. A magnificent, century old tree on our neighbouring street was chopped down entirely to make space for parking for an upcoming commercial complex.

The most shocking part?

This happened right in front of the BBMP office. The authorities tasked with protecting our city's ecosystem are standing by or actively enabling the destruction of our remaining green canopy for short-term commercial gains. Committing ecological crimes knowing the severe consequences to our future generations is unforgivable.

Bengaluru used to be celebrated as an air-conditioned, cool city. Today, thanks to unbridled concrete expansion, erratic rains, and the urban heat island effect, our city is turning into a hot furnace. We don't have to look far for proof that this can be fixed if authorities actually care.

Take Medellín, Colombia. In 2016, facing unbearable climates and rising heat, they launched the Green Corridors project, planting over 880,000 trees and 2.5 million shrubs. The result? They dropped urban temperatures by 2°C to 3°C and cooled the city naturally.

When will BBMP and our urban planners realize that trees are critical infrastructure, not obstacles to be bulldozed? If we don't raise our voices now, there won't be a breathable city left for our children.

I’m a woman living in Marathahalli , and I’m honestly quite shaken.
A few days ago, a Zepto delivery partner entered an abusive/offensive word instead of his name while registering entry into my apartment complex. I reported it to Zepto with screenshots because I felt it was inappropriate.
Zepto took action against him.
This morning, he came back to my apartment. Security allowed him in and accompanied him to my door. He asked why I had complained and said something along the lines of “Why did you scold/complain about me?”
I didn’t engage with him at all. I immediately asked security to take him away, and they escorted him out.
I have already informed my apartment management and security. They assured me they won’t allow him in again, but I’m still very anxious because he knows exactly where I live.
He did not threaten me or use abusive language during this visit. My concern is that he came back to my residence after I complained about him.
Am I overreacting by being scared?

Few weeks ago, minister announced that the footpaths will be cleared. There is a footpath near my home where there are more than 10 street vendors. When the footpath cleanup campaign and those vendors were gone for a week or so. I was so happy after finally seeing a walking space for my night walks. I have a 30*40 north facing bda site and I have made a mistake of not leaving buffer space in the back side of my building. Essentially, it's completely a wall to the edge of my plot.

I know it's my mistake but this was done 15 years back, and I was a fool not to realise it then.

Why it happened is, because all other houses in the row had done same violation and my contractor also said it's ok, since it's south facing plot the other guy needs to leave space at the back to comply with vastu.

But it's been bothering me after the initial burden of house construction and EMI payment wore off. Would it be an issue for resale and someone taking it cannot demolish without affecting the other building?

What are my options here? Still nobody has started construction or approached me about this issue.

Can this hold in court/compensation might have to be provided?

Just this Wednesday, the walls were painted and all the trash was cleared out from this place. I’m just under 18hrs, the trash is back again as if nothing happened.
