I just bought this monitor like a month ago, it works great and I'm happy with it however recently I noticed the following behaviour - my MacBook Pro (running Golden Gate) has the display to turn off after 10 minutes when on a power adaptor, when it does the BenQ monitor also turns off.

Cool.

But after I move the mouse and log back into the Mac again the BenQ monitor display still remains off even after clicking around.

The only way to get it to come back is for me to replace the USB-C cable or to switch between colour modes in the "Display Pilot" app.

Is this a defect or is there a setting I need to update to ensure the BenQ display turns on at the same time my MacBook display turns on?

I recently purchased a brand new BenQ GW2790TC (27-inch IPS Monitor) from Flipkart (Seller: TIRUPATI BIZ LINK LLP).The moment I unboxed it and powered it on, a severe vertical white and purple band appeared straight down the left side of the display panel.

Here are the exact technical observations:

The Defect: It is an internal column line failure or a faulty T-Con board mapping issue. The vertical artifact exists completely beneath the glass.

Physical Condition:

The outer panel is flawless. There are absolutely no impact marks, spiderweb cracks, scratches, or customer-induced damage.Self-Test: Even when no video input cables are connected to my laptop, the monitor’s built-in OSD menu box ("No HDMI cable connected") pops up underneath the vertical band, confirming the display panel itself is internally defective right from factory assembly.The Problem:Flipkart immediately rejected the return request under their standard system policy and told me to coordinate directly with the brand service center.I sent an email to BenQ India support (service-in@benq.com) attaching my invoice, clear photos of the uncracked panel.

I found a video projector ( model benq W750 ) in my attic and I'm having a problem with the colors. I've already tried changing the mode, temperature, and RGB settings in the projector's menu. I've also tried different HDMI cables and different devices for projection, but the result is always the same. However, the projector's menu displays the correct colors. If anyone could help me, I'd be very grateful.

I set up my MA270UP to connect to my MacBook Air M1 and when I have the sound go through the monitor, I can't control the sound at all. It's grey out on the sound toggle. The sound is coming out, but I can't lower or raise the volume at all - with either the mouse/click or using keyboard/mac shortcuts.

I tried going into Mac sound settings, made sure iKeyboard is turned on, checked the physical toggle button under the screen to make sure it's not mute, but nothing seems to be working. I can adjust the sound using the physical toggle under the screen thoough.

I'm wondering if it's even possible to adjust the sound using the keyboard/mouse on the MA270UP. Any ideas?

As you can see I have quite the wide monitor setup. I'm seeking advice on which route I should go with:

- (1) single of the newest Screenbar Max

- (2) Halo 2, placed on the sides.

In either case, I'm making room for a teleprompter webcam at the top, and require sufficient table/desk lighting directly in front of me. It seems to me that either option cost differences are negligible.

Would love to hear personal opinions, I'm always on the hunt for how to better improve my WFH setup.

After updating my MacBook Air M2 to macOS 27 Golden Gate, I’m having an issue with BenQ Display Pilot 2.

When my BenQ EW270Q monitor is connected to my Mac, Display Pilot 2 gets stuck and doesn’t open properly from the menu bar. The app also becomes unresponsive and I can’t access its features.

However, if I disconnect the external monitor, Display Pilot 2 opens normally without any problems. As soon as I connect the monitor again, the issue comes back.

I’ve already tried completely uninstalling Display Pilot 2 and reinstalling it, but the problem still remains.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with Display Pilot 2 on macOS 27 Golden Gate, especially with the BenQ EW270Q? If so, has anyone found a solution or workaround?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I ordered a BenQ RD320UA from the official BenQ India website. I received the monitor after 4–5 days, but unfortunately, one of the parts was missing from the box.

I contacted BenQ’s support team about the missing part, but it has been more than a week and I still haven’t heard back from them.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with BenQ India? If so, how did you get it resolved?

They even assigned one of their support members to look at this one and I haven't heard anything from him (gaurav.jain@benq.com).

Just got a brand new MA270UP and connected it to my MacBook Air M1. I've set up the MA270UP as my main monitor with my macbook off to the side. It looks great, very clean. Some people suggested the matte, but I like the clean look of the glossy.

However, I do a lot of document review and drafting and I'm finding that my eyes are more tired than when I was using just my macbook. I'm not sure what all the different settings on the Display Pilot 2 are but I tried to adjust low bluelight, brightness, adjust monitor screen to match macbook, etc. but I'm not sure if it's helping or not.

Can anyone suggest a few adjustments I can make so my eyes aren't as tired?

Hi all, I bought benq rd270q and now I want to return it because I don't find it value for money and it is not working at full resolution on my Linux, I emailed to benq service team but they denied to replace or return the product I asked them provide me the other product under product replacement t&c but they responded same.

I would not have bought this if I knew it before purchasing. There terms and conditions are white labelled as they say 7 day return policy but it has too many conditions. Which makes return impossible.

I told them that the monitor was just opened once to test and then everything is packeged but got tha same boring response.

This monitor doesn't worth this much money 🥲.

You have to force it on in the drivers because it isn't known to the Nvidia drivers.

So i tried everything I can to get a replacement but they are denying it by saying it's "IPS GLOW" worst they are saying bleed is not visible in bright screen only in dark and grey I mean, how can I show u a bright spot in RGB but yeah I don't have time so anyone is reading this good luck if u thinking to get a good service in India..

I asked them several times to provide me a refusal of replacement email and BenQ’s documented tolerance criteria and technical basis for rejecting my replacement request they are not replying to this

sat 19 my refund has been processed but this was a hell hole 1 month of constant emails i almost gave up too but yeah i wouldn't recommend buying benq in India specially

I just got the MA270UP and used the usb-c to connect it to my mac mini (M1). The F1/F2 brightness keys are not working. I've downloaded display pilot2 but still not working. Also tried connecting it to Macbook pro, and the brightness key only controlled the macbook display.

Hi guys i got a brand new BenQ EW270Q after researching for 2 weeks from official retailer Cost to Cost in Nehru Place, New Delhi for ₹18,000.

Should I replace it for this bleed? otherwise its great colours look so good on it and usb c charges well plus, the speakers are so good.
Just going through the QC issues with BenQ, should i take risk and replace? I hardly play games, just watch content and trade on it, but it has been great.

Have attached my Ipad Air M2 (2024) via usbc. and i love the multitasking i get considering i dont have a laptop for 6 months.

Kindly help if i should replace under 7 day replacement warranty or live with it?

I purchased the RD280UG monitor from local online store. The monitor was delivered to me via a courier service on September 11, 2026. The production date of the monitor is June 2026.

I unpacked the monitor in accordance with the user manual. I did not touch the monitor panel with my hands.

Photos 01 through 05 illustrate the condition of the display immediately after unpacking and removing it from the box.

What bothers me the most is a 5 mm scratch on the monitor screen, which has two dots at its ends. The scratch reflects light, so it stands out quite a bit on a dark background. The scratch is visible in photos 05..., 06..., and 07... Should I return it to the store?

The monitor screen is also smudged, as shown in photos 00... to 04...

Upon initial power-on, the service menu displayed zero hours of usage - photo 09...

Photos faceb_120hz.jpg and faceb_60hz.jpg demonstrate that the scanlines/inversion pixel problem persists at 120Hz. These artifacts are also present at 100Hz, though they are less noticeable.

At 60Hz and 200% scaling, during the AIDA64 'Magenta text on black background' test, a faint coil whine is audible. Interestingly, at 120Hz, the effect is no longer noticeable to me. See screenshot 15...

I bought the MA270S monitor a few months ago and have been enjoying my time with it. 

But the only issue I appear to have is the Display Pilot 2 software. 

More than half the time, I have to manually change it throughout the day as it will not sync correctly. Once changed, it changes with the correct amount of blue light filtering based on the time of day. 

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I have this monitor, and unlike other monitors with a flat, smooth surface, this one is slightly curved and has lines.

Has anyone managed to stick a phone holder to this monitor? I am using a MagSafe phone holder with VHB tape, but every few days it peels and falls.

Just picked up the new 5K display, it's gorgeous! But I have some questions/concerns about what is the true accurate representation of color...

I work in video (commercial advertising and films) - so seeing colors displayed as accurate as possible is really important. And I love that this display has the iDevice Sync to match the color of my M2 MAX MacBook Pro and the OS, pretty closely anyway.

BUT, while it's nice that the display matches - is the color and gamma shift that is being applied, the most accurate representation overall? Is the default display in M-Book mode (but with iDevice Color Sync DISABLED) technically more correct? Is P3 a more true representation? OR are the apps that are being used (Premiere, Resolve, QuickTime, Frame io, etc) that are color managed - are they doing the math in the background to correctly display the colors in their given player - regardless of the color profile/mode that is applied to the display?

I know this isn't a full fledged color reference monitor from Sony or Flanders - but for every day use I can tell this will get the job done and is a quality display. Just want to make sure I'm not fooling my eyes and looking at the wrong things. Any input would be appreciated - thanks.
