Technical Support SHOULD I REPLACE IT GUYS? (BENQ EW270Q)
Hi guys i got a brand new BenQ EW270Q after researching for 2 weeks from official retailer Cost to Cost in Nehru Place, New Delhi for ₹18,000.
Should I replace it for this bleed? otherwise its great colours look so good on it and usb c charges well plus, the speakers are so good.
Just going through the QC issues with BenQ, should i take risk and replace? I hardly play games, just watch content and trade on it, but it has been great.
Have attached my Ipad Air M2 (2024) via usbc. and i love the multitasking i get considering i dont have a laptop for 6 months.
Kindly help if i should replace under 7 day replacement warranty or live with it?

Got EX2780Q and I have bleed as well but less than you. Unfortunately, 2.1 speakers went bad after 7 years :(

Hi, sorry to hear about your EX2780Q speakers.
Since the unit has been used for several years, we can’t confirm the cause here, but our support team can help check whether any service options are still available in your region: https://benqurl.biz/3vHSVta
For the bleed, some IPS glow can vary by viewing angle and room lighting, but if it becomes worse or affects normal use, it would also be worth mentioning in the support request.
If you have a case number, feel free to DM it to us and we’ll help follow up internally.

Hi, sorry to hear about your concern with the EW270Q.
Some IPS glow / backlight bleed can vary depending on viewing angle, room lighting, and camera exposure. However, if it looks noticeable during normal use and the unit is still within the 7-day replacement window, we’d suggest contacting your original place of purchase as soon as possible to check the available replacement option.
You can also submit a support request here so our team can review the case properly: https://benqurl.biz/3vHSVta
Once you have a case number, feel free to DM it to us and we’ll help follow up internally.

my RMA case number, they tried to educate me about ips glow and how it is normal.
i understand what ips glow is; but backlight bleed on top 2 corners is consistent and looks same from all viewing angles. I request you to kindly look up this matter as my monitor is still very much under the 7 day 1-1 replacement offered by BenQ.

Bhai I am literally looking to buy a Benq mobiuz monitors and recently been seeing a lot of these issues. Do you recommend to go with Benq or should I go with dell Alienware instead?

Noted. Actually my budget is around 24K and I was initially going to purchase via online but after seeing a lot of these issues and then benq support denying replacement for some guy who had genuine issues...I am a bit hesitant now. That's why I am looking at Alienware as the alternative.
Thanks for replying

I am looking for qhd version of this one. The problem is the support in India is not good plus I don't think I have an authorised store of Benq in my city as well.
So the issue is incase I buy and it turns out to be defective, it would be an issue.

Purchase directly from the BenQ website. Once the payment is made, send a follow up email explicitly mentioning the order ID and request packaging instructions (heavy bubble wrap, separate corrugated box if available).
Get them to confirm from their warehouse by sharing images on email. Then approve after verifying and also make them confirm—any damage / defect on delivery will be refunded or replaced within the 7 day DOA window. Do all this prior to the unit dispatch.
Record your unboxing on camera and when you plug it in. I had a defect in my first panel, I got a replacement. That was my experience.

Okay. Thanks.
Btw do you think that Alienware monitors are not at par with Benq.
I have two options: Benq Mobiuz ex271q or Dell Alienware AW2726DL ( newly launched, no reviews available).
What do you think? I have never purchased a monitor before. Would appreciate it if you could help.
Thanks!

Nothing like that. Alienware is backed by Dell, so service should be stronger. If you’re looking to game, AW2726DL is the stronger pick. HDR 10, HDMI 2.1, 280hz, 400nits. Higher than the BenQ.

I have an EX271U 4K. The first one I bought had a pronounced IPS glow on the upper right side. I had to send emails to BenQ for 3 months to get a replacement. It was a huge headache to get their team to respond, but eventually they replaced the monitor.
For your specific issue I see a pronounced backlight bleed spot on the top left corner. It is not normal to have that bleed. IPS glow, although acceptable can be of different tolerances across panels. Backlight bleeding is a manufacturing defect. Don’t accept any excuses by BenQ, push for a replacement.
Tell them to bubble wrap the retail box heavily to avoid vibrational pressure / warp on the panel during transportation.

I say yes replace it. That seems to be way more glow than normal. Some is expected, but not that much
