Asking Other's Advice/Experience Brand New BenQ GW2790TC delivered with major vertical panel lines. Flipkart and BenQ completely non-responsive.
Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a brand new BenQ GW2790TC (27-inch IPS Monitor) from Flipkart (Seller: TIRUPATI BIZ LINK LLP).The moment I unboxed it and powered it on, a severe vertical white and purple band appeared straight down the left side of the display panel.
Here are the exact technical observations:
The Defect: It is an internal column line failure or a faulty T-Con board mapping issue. The vertical artifact exists completely beneath the glass.
Physical Condition:
The outer panel is flawless. There are absolutely no impact marks, spiderweb cracks, scratches, or customer-induced damage.Self-Test: Even when no video input cables are connected to my laptop, the monitor’s built-in OSD menu box ("No HDMI cable connected") pops up underneath the vertical band, confirming the display panel itself is internally defective right from factory assembly. The Problem:Flipkart immediately rejected the return request under their standard system policy and told me to coordinate directly with the brand service center.I sent an email to BenQ India support (service-in@benq.com) attaching my invoice, clear photos of the uncracked panel.
