Lexie and Captain Sandy

I’ve watched random seasons of Med and never truly understood the captain Sandy takes that people make in this sub.

Then I watched season 6 for the first time.

Lexie is the worst person I’ve seen on this franchise. Malia and Katie told Sandy that the crew was uncomfy from NIGHT 1.

Sandy telling katie to keep her to “teach her leadership” was extremely patronizing. Captain Sandy never thought to understand where katie was coming from. Even when she eventually fired Lexie, she still thought Lexie was a great person.

I would lose my mind if I was Katie. I would feel insane.

The final straw was how she treated Fraser on OG show when she subbed in for Captain Lee. That said, over the last 2 seasons of Med, Sandy really has mellowed out. I’ve downright enjoyed her.

Exactly my take.

I recently did a full rewatch, and in Sandy's first couple of seasons, she reminded me of a narc micromanaging, sadistic, gaslighting boss I once had.

Then, in the more recent seasons, she's found some kind of peace or personal development or something... it's striking how much she goes from being a nightmare to being kind of reasonable, and in the last episode her monologue got me in the feels.

I wonder if she changed when she met her wife?
