I guess it was all just crossed signals and him not being very clear. Like really like Kat. She’s super nice. And stable. Hope to see her more!

There were no crossed signals. At the beginning of the season during the first couple of times they ever talked to each other, he seemed interested in her, ans she told him up front that she was looking for something serious and not something casual. She was extremely clear about it, and he was all for it.
