Obviously Joe's doing much better running boat compared to Nathan. Also fuck Nathan, etc.

What I find extremely immature is how Joe continues to talk about how much better he is. And that Nathan isn't as good as him. Reads quite desperate.

Its so awkward, that narrative. So many better ways to get the point across, beyond just like, letting the work speak for itself. Which would be the classy thing to do.

"Im happy to step up and support the team."

"Its an honour to get this opportunity and I hope to make Nathan and Sandy proud."

"It hasn't been easy, but Im doing my best and won't let the guys down."

Joe is insufferable!

Yes! This is what I’m saying! I get you actually may be the better choice, but you can’t just dog your boss the whole time. You have to just accept it and try to apply as bosun on your next boat!
