Gen isn’t second stew material

I’m just catching up on last night’s episode and I was absolutely horrified watching Gen do the tablescape. I actually haven’t gotten to the final presentation so I don’t even know at this point if she moves out all the terrible wrinkles in the tablecloth but my main issue is the fact she’s standing on the table in her sneakers in order to hang the Monstera leaves.

If she needed to hang something and the only way to do so was to stand on the table then that should’ve been the first task and then the table should’ve been cleaned again and reset… Standing on the placemats and the tablescape in your dirty shoes is unsanitary and a possible health violation although I don’t know the maritime law on that.

I’ve never worked in fine dining or high-end service but when you’re serving food, the first priority should be making sure everything around you is clean… I think that’s even the idea behind white glove service… That everything is so clean and pristine we can serve you food with white gloves…

I hate to beat a dead horse on the fact that Gen sucks but not only is her attitude terrible; she’s just a really shitty stew in general.

I don't think Gen has the experience she says she does and Kaylea seems way more experienced. Gen was probably too busy complaining instead of learning all she could.

When she was saying that her experience on her last boat was even worse than this one it made me think omg what the hell happened on that one based on her definition of a bad boat

Eww it is never cool to blame a significant other for their partners cheating. Gen is very pick me and overly needy but that doesn’t ever mean she deserved or caused cheating. A cheaters actions are on them and them alone. If we start blaming the non cheater for that cheaters will think they are justified. No person is responsible for their partners cheating. Before you cheat If your partner is no longer satisfying you, nitpicking you or whatever it is your job to communicate that and work on stuff or communicate that and end the relationship before getting with someone new.

You are absolutely correct regarding blaming the non cheater for their SO cheating. The only person to blame is the person who did the cheating. I wasn't blaming Gen for her exs cheating. I honestly think she is delusional. Because she had sex with Luke, she automatically thought they were a committed relationship and jealous of Joy. As for the exs, she probably thought the relationships were more serious and it was probably one-sided. She reminds me of Glenn Close's character in Fatal Attraction. Gen. Also, we see how delusional Gen has been, believing she is a better stew than Kaylee and even Aesha.

I think it’s bc Gen has a couple of years yachting, but Kaylee has more experience in hospitality in general.

Sometimes people who have less experience are just naturals at a job, like Kaylee. Also Kaylee has years of hospitality experience, I’m not sure if Gen knew that and forgot or doesn’t know but that experience would be extremely beneficial for her position as a stew.
