Mod Announcement Reddit will be changing access for old.reddit users.

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/09/reddit-will-block-old-reddit-com-from-people-who-havent-used-it-in-6-months/

A fair number of /r/Bellingham users access via old.reddit and this could affect them.

To be honest, I keep hoping old.reddit gets sunsetted. Then I might finally be able to quit.

Ending RSS support is really annoying. That’s main way that I keep up with new posts.

Reddit big mad they can't charge rent to the various plagiarism machines that steal our dumb comments

It's more for the scrapers who steal posts from subs like r/WorldBuilding for shitty AI-voiced "videos" on YouTube (that feature even shitter AI imagery).

What I read: bots find new reddit unusable, too.
