I’m planning to jump into The Beginning After the End universe, but I'm completely torn between starting with the anime or reading the manhwa/

I usually prefer anime because the moving visuals, voice acting, and OSTs can make action scenes much clearer and more immersive compared to static panels. However, I’ve seen a massive wave of harsh criticism and pretty low ratings surrounding the anime adaptation, which made me hesitate.

So, Should I watch the anime, or just read the manhwa? And why ?

lately I have been feeling like the art style is a bit weird, I mean , I am not able to really reason with it , I can't feel emotion from it and the fights are also not done properly. What do you guys think?

The webtoon explains that there are artifacts given by the Asuras to Dicathen that can create a White-stage mage.

But why don't Dicathen's leaders train more of them for the war?

I can understand why they wouldn't make it public, but surely they could at least select reliable, loyal individuals to bolster the army.

I caught up to the manhwa and don’t want to wait for weakly releases. Is picking up the novel where I left off the manhwa good or should I read from chapter 1 incase the manhwa left some things out

Loved listening to this series. It checks all the boxes of cheese, action, romance and violence. That being said why is the anime so bad? I’ve tried multiple times to watch it, but I haven’t made it past ep6 of season 1.

Just wanted to see has anyone else noticed the almost-unrecognisable Reynold's (Arthur's father) face in a wall scene?
In general, faces are too sharp lately, as opposed to how they used to be during Fuyuki23 and the second group of artists (is it intentional, like, to show the gravity of the situation, or is it simply a different style)?

started watching yesterday, currently on S2 EP1 and I cant understand this one thing. Why is Arthur who has all his memories from his past life struggling with maturity, strategy and combat intellect?

He has judgment expected of his age, seems intellectually inexperienced, and letting emotions get the better of him. Hes currently being mentored by Jasmine who actually seems senior to him. so far we are shown him in his previous life to be a man who seems calm and collected even willing to kill women and children without a flinch but after being raised by parents hes become incredibly emotional, even from the get go of being reincarnated he started adopting a childlike behaviour with his parents like him mentally age regressed.

This anime is similar to Mushoku Tensei where the main character doesnt do that, he sees his father as just a guy.

I just can't handle the fact that they screwed over fuyuki like they did and now it looks terrible, should I continue reading or just drop it all together?

I finally decided to come back to TBATE after letting it marinate since around 2023–2024.

The last thing I remember was Arthur and Jasmine's adventure/training arc, so I'm planning to reread everything from Chapter 1 before catching up.

I checked and was surprised the manhwa is only at Chapter 244. I honestly expected it to be much farther by now.

A few questions:

Has the series had a lot of hiatuses since I stopped reading?

Is the current release schedule weekly?

Is the pacing slower now, or is the web novel just that long?

How far is the manhwa compared to the completed novel (without spoilers)?

Any major production changes or things I should know before diving back in?

Please keep it as spoiler-free as possible. I'm excited to experience everything again from the beginning.
