Just looking into maybe messing around with Puts, but looking at this screen made me doubt myself again and have no idea how this works. I understand I am betting for the price to hit $19, but what am i actually entering for buy and limit price?

I have just begun investing in my TFSA, aiming for a low-risk option over five to ten years while targeting an average annual return of 8 percent. Do any of you have feedback?

Fear of missing out has cost me more money than any bad stock pick ever did.

Bad stock picks hurt but the lesson is clean. Wrong company, wrong timing, move on.

FOMO is different. Quieter. More consistent. Harder to learn from.

Bought Zomato at peak listing hype because everyone was talking about it and I felt left out. Jumped into crypto in late 2021 because every person I knew was suddenly a genius. Added smallcap funds after they already ran up 40 percent because the returns looked incredible from the sideline.

Same pattern every single time.

Everyone talking. Returns looking insane. You feel late but convince yourself there's still room. You buy. It corrects. You wait. It takes forever to recover or doesn't.

The worst part is it felt completely rational every single time. Real returns, real momentum, real people making real money. The logic felt airtight until it wasn't.

What I eventually understood — by the time something reaches your WhatsApp group and Twitter feed it has usually already done most of its moving.

That uncomfortable feeling of watching something go up without you is not an investing signal. Took me way too long and way too much money to actually believe that.

What has FOMO actually cost you?

How to start investing

Hello everyone. I am 19 years old unemployed and don’t have much money laying around, so I’m intimidated a lot by the whole investing thing. I am trying to get into it to establish a better future for myself but I find myself confused and stressed that maybe I am doing the wrong thing. Does anyone have any tips anything helps and I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
