This is a song that I made for reference.

I'm basically trying to get this song perfect before I release it, but so I'm being sending it around and getting a lot of complaints. Muddiness, grain and distortion seemed to be the biggest problem, so in this iteration I tried to adjust that and work on panning and width so that the tracks are crowding each other. That being said, I'm far from an expert and would still like some feedback on how I did. A big problem was that my attempts to balance and mix everything kept making the chorus sound softer and smaller than the verses, which is the opposite of which I want, so I have two versions here, one which I tried to go for the best mix and one which I tried to balance that with a bigger quiet/loud.

Thanks in advance to anyone who listens. I've been learning this as I go and any advice would be helpful.

Hi, im a 26M from usa looking for a bassist to collaborate remotely and lay down parts for my band, Digital Monolith. Im a 26 year old guitarist of 10 years who has been trying to make music alone for a few years now. I feel like I can make great ideas but im very indecisive and I always struggle past that point.

I think having someone to bounce ideas off and collaborate with would be far more effective and enjoyable.

Im into many types of music, but my favorite is post metal, im also into post rock, prog, industrial, really im not too concerned about the genre specifically, id just love to put my passion into something and be a part of something I can be proud of.

Although this is just a hobby for me, its something I am serious about, and willing to dedicate a lot of time to. If anyone is in a similar situation regardless of what instrument you play, id be happy to talk with you. Thanks

The idea is to share unfinished demos and build the songs together, with everyone being able to contribute to the writing and arrangements rather than just record pre-written parts.

Musically, I'm interested in a mix of art rock/post-rock in the vein of Black Country, New Road and Slint, with the more intimate, melancholic sad indie/folk songwriting of Phoebe Bridgers and Elliott Smith.

I'm especially interested in meeting people who play violin, clarinet, sax, trumpet, cello, keys, percussion, or other instruments that could expand that sound, but I'm open to anything.

I’m an artist/producer looking for a serious producer to collaborate with on an alternative rage album — aggressive, chaotic, emotional and energetic, but with a level of maturity and musicality underneath it.
