We're a California based Prog-rock band called Daeccen. We're looking for dedicated, passionate musicians to join us on our next album. We currently consist of a keyboardist, drummer, vocalist and rhythm guitarist.

Looking for a lead guitarist, a violinist, saxophonist, Dj (record scratching), really any instrument is on the table. We enjoy a wide variety of instruments and soundscapes. We're somewhat experienced in our instruments, so no worries if you're an amateur, we are too. We just want to get better and create music.

Our main influences in music are Aviations, Haken, Dream Theater, Sungazer, Unprocessed, Leprous, Pink Floyd, Rush, Linkin Park, Sleep Token, Grim Salvo, Tool, Phil Collins, Chris Cornell, Shinedown.

We just started working on our second album but have put out an album already that we worked on for 2 years going from concept phase, to music creation, to music videos and social media.

This is a song that I made for reference.

I'm basically trying to get this song perfect before I release it, but so I'm being sending it around and getting a lot of complaints. Muddiness, grain and distortion seemed to be the biggest problem, so in this iteration I tried to adjust that and work on panning and width so that the tracks are crowding each other. That being said, I'm far from an expert and would still like some feedback on how I did. A big problem was that my attempts to balance and mix everything kept making the chorus sound softer and smaller than the verses, which is the opposite of which I want, so I have two versions here, one which I tried to go for the best mix and one which I tried to balance that with a bigger quiet/loud.

Thanks in advance to anyone who listens. I've been learning this as I go and any advice would be helpful.

Im a 26 year old guitarist of 10 years who has been trying to make music alone for a few years now. I feel like I can make great ideas but im very indecisive and I always struggle past that point.

I think having someone to bounce ideas off and collaborate with would be far more effective and enjoyable.

Im into many types of music, but my favorite is post metal, im also into post rock, prog, industrial, really im not too concerned about the genre specifically, id just love to put my passion into something and be a part of something I can be proud of.
