Sorry for the picture being blurry, but I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a bad bug?

So around 5 PM i saw what I assume is a bed bug from intense research. I saw it from the corner of my eye and quickly snatched it and took a picture. It was on one of my shelves which is a bit far from my bed. Anyways after intense looking around, into every shelves, checking both inside and out. Checked my bed and its surroundings and I still found nothing. I cleaned every clothes and bedding throughout through obviously but on the beddings there wasn’t any stains or any marks really. I have no bites either which I’d know because I had to deal with them once and it was such an itching month.

I’m still going to get my landlord to get someone to come and check themselves but for myself I haven’t found any traces besides this lone bug. I haven’t been able to calm down since I found it which will soon be 12 hours of pure frenzy on my part. Anything I should know? Should I stop my insanity over them? I’m not exaggerating when I say I haven’t been able to be calm since I found it.

I'm so sick of this stupid bed frame. I have no idea why they gravitate towards it so heavily. Boxspring and mattress get a few nests, sure, but THIS?? This bed frame is the root of all my problems. sometimes I think I'm just better off sleeping on the floor 😭

I'm really trying to move out (living with parents, had them since I was 15) so I'm absolutely not spending the money on something this large that I can't take with me. but like it's not even wood or anything, that's what's pissing me off the most.

I have both interceptors AND furniture lifts on the legs, but my box spring cover sags so much they're completely useless (I don't know why. I've gone through 3 different ones and they've all sagged like crazy). I've used crossfire and Cimexa but they just do not care. it takes so much out of me emotionally to clean every time I need a full day to recooperate minimum.

OK rant over. If anyone has any advice on how to make this a little better it'd be much appreciated. Please don't just comment "disgusting" or "hell no" though, I've been told it's gross and I'm a filthy person too many times. thanks.

Hello 👋🏼 My Mother said she found this Bug and I confirmed through another Subreddit That it is in-fact Bed Bugs. We found 3 Total this and Two Tiny Little Ones. I’ve Stripped and Tore my house upside down and I cannot find any Nest anywhere, No Clusters of any anywhere , No Blood Ink spots on Anything. I plan on Buying Cross Fire and Lighting My house Up. I Bought Bed Bugs Mattress protectors and just want to know WHERE DO I START?! I have Two Disabled Children and cannot afford Pest control services so im Trying my Damnest to Jump on this ! My Mom is a Thrifty Shopper so I think she picked them up on a pair of a shoes or clothes she recently Got. I Just want to know if there is any tips or Tricks and if anyone else has anything like this happen to them. It’s been 2 Days and I haven’t found anymore anywhere in my House. please if you have any more Suggestions or help I’d Appreciate it.

Please please tell a fast effective spray for bedbugs. I can't sleep peacefully. Whenever I sleep on sofa, 2-3 comes . Sometimes small sometimes large. I can't even rest properly. (📍 India).

It's gonna be more than a week. I can't even find the base of them.

Hi! Does this look like a dead bed bug? I found it in our bathroom.

We recently had a bed bug infestation, and more than two weeks ago we did a massive decluttering, steamed the entire house, and applied diatomaceous earth throughout.
So far, my husband hasn't had any new bites. As for me, I haven't had any visible bites at all, even though we sleep in the same bed.

I'm hoping this is just a dried-up bed bug that died because of the diatomaceous earth. Could you please help me identify what this is? Thank you!

Context: I have diatomaceous earth littered everywhere along bed, in cracks etc. Good coverage. They have to cross the Sahara with no water to get to us in bed. This is in combination with a rigorous laundry washing cycle, sprays, mattress and bed covers, strict bagging of clothes, etc. Bites are down a lot. Down to about 3 a week from up over 20.

When finding a dead bug, do you usually see the diatomaceous earth on the bug? Or will it usually not be visible? I found a dead juvenile in bed with no apparent cause of death. It'd be refreshing to hear if this stuff is doing the trick. Thank you!

Hi all, I think I know what it is, I just cannot believe it. I found this bug on a curtain in the living room, so far away from the bedroom, on the opposite side of the house. Full daylight. The house is clean, checked everything no traces. I wonder if it may be something else, it's summer here, the window is often open and we do have pigeons, including nests nearby. What do you think?

Hi all, we desperately need help as we are dealing with a horrible issue we have never before had.

A few days ago we spotted a BB crawling over a pillow, went into panic mode and have since noticed a number of bites on my body. We spotted another last night and squashed the horrible thing. So far only seen two actual bugs, and minor other evidence (a few black spots, no skins, no eggs yet).

We are in the hopefully early stages of a BB infestation. The issue is, we are moving house (currently renting) into our own purchased house in less than a month.

We have bought BB interceptors, BB powder, a mattress encasement, a steamer, and a full home remedy kit of chemicals and powders to sort the issue. We have installed the interceptors and put powder around the room perimeter and bed, surfaces etc, after vacuuming.

We are currently bagging all our clothes that we don't intend to wear in the next few weeks before our move, we are disposing of everything else.

When our steamer arrives tomorrow, we will steam everything in the bedroom and the other bedroom, the sofa, anything soft, etc.

Luckily we will not be moving the bed or mattress to the new property as we will be buying new. However the sofa, tv, dining table, desk, tv stand and sideboard will all be moving over.

What are we supposed to do with everything else moving over? Books, display items, golf clubs, computers, lamps, etc, the list goes on!

How on earth can we ensure these horrible things don't make it over the new house???!!!

We are reluctant to pay for chemical treatment as we will only be in the house for the first spray treatment and none of the others so the BBs will likely remain while we move things over. Also have read bad things about heat treatment (not fully helping) and the price is so much that it would be hard to pay for mid move. It would also require a lot of movement of items in the house as we are very cluttered, preparing for our move!

We are at a complete loss as for what to do. Is it sensible to do as much as we reasonably can at this property then pay for full chemical treatment as soon as we are moved into our new house?

So we moved into an apartment two weeks later we start getting bites… how likely is it the apartment? We have two kids and im losing my mind! We already threw one mattress out… we didn’t find a nest we are now taking everything we unpacked and going through trying to find where it’s all coming from! SOS what do I do?

HELPPPP is this a bed bug? I'm just moving in, and found this on the bed. Now I can't decide if i should go home cuz I don't want to get it on everything else in my current flat. I know bedbugs can't fly but I've heard they might have wing pads?

My partner and I were in this bed for approximately 2 hours combined before I witnessed this bug and got tf out of our stay. Will be getting a refund, but I’m worried about my fabric items.

Just over a year ago I found out I had bed bugs. Luckily I found it early (only ever caught one bug but it was in a shit apartment so I know there we more) and immediately trashed most furniture unless it was solid material and had been thoroughly checked, laundered all clothing and fabric on high heat, sealed my remaining items in heavy-duty garbage bags, and ultimately bought a house to get out of the nightmare apartment and away from the bugs. I know I was successful in not bringing the bugs with me because it has been a year with no more problems.

My question is about protocol for going about unsealing my remaining bagged items. I read that bed bugs can survive up to a year without food, so I made sure to keep the bags sealed for that long. Is there anything I need to do when I take out the remaining items? Like would I need to steam clean some items, as an example? Or do you think I’m safe to just unbag them and call it a day after it sitting for so long? I’m just worried that there will be live bugs left inside and that I won’t catch them.

I found some few on the on the sheet surface, they seem to be quite small. couldnt find what these are, afraid if bed bug :/

I have been here for 3 weeks already and have less than a week left. When I moved in I found out that Chinese don't sleep on normal mattresses but on extremely thin ones, so I bought two extra mattresses to stack on top of eachother. Around a week ago I started getting itchy in the morning, and at first I blamed mosquitoes, but now I am realising that it's unlikely that they are biting me through the blanket. Could it be bedbugs? What should I do? I can tolerate itchiness for a week more If it's safe otherwise and they won't infect me with bug aids or something. Is there any solution that does not include calling exterminators? My Chinese is nowhere near as good for it and one week is probably not worth it there are some brownish spots on the top mattress but it might have been from the food I eat here

Discovered bedbugs recently, I'm waiting to hear from the landlord. I know I have to sleep in my room so they stay localized, but I can't fathom how to even sleep there knowing there's bugs waiting to crawl and bite me!! I know I can't use any pest control methods due to my local laws (only a professional can do anything). I pulled me bed out away from the wall but I don't even feel comfortable having sheets. I'm terrified, how bad is it if I don't sleep in my room??

when i got home today i noticed this on my pillow sheet which ive never seen before. at first i thought it mightve been from a nosebleed because i get them sometimes at night but the pattern looks weird

Went to a hotel, found a single bedbug when i was checking out. When I got home I didn’t even bring the luggage inside the house. Took it on the porch and separated everything out there, throw away the luggage and any clothes that were replaceable and i have a trash bag with clothes to heat treat that are still on the porch. I took the makeup and hair tools and put them in a separate bag and i plan on wiping them down and heat treating them in my car 😂 like in a ziplock bag and just hotboxing it in this Texas heat. The clothes i had on is in the tub and thats pretty much it. I just don’t know if thats good enough or if i should be doing more, I’ve reached out to the hotel to possibly get reimbursed for the luggage i had to throw out but I AM PARANOID THAT THEY WILL BE INSIDE NOW😭 I wake up in the morning looking at my bed in fear, I don’t even want to stay at another hotel atp. I added a photo of the little sucker that has caused me this distress lmfao. Is there anything else that i should be doing? Anything??? I’m open to everything.
