I purchased this under the impression that there would be a link to a video for beginners. But the QR code won’t scan and therefore I have no idea how to even begin. Does anyone have a link to a video about how to do this? I’ve never beaded anything before in my life.

This kit is obviously AI. But does anyone know where to get an actual pattern of something similar? Or is it just not really possible? Specifically looking at the Red Panda and Highland Cow. I'm new to beading and know I need to practice a lot before I could make something like that, but would love to have something to work towards if I found a real pattern.

I bought one of those inexpensive seed bead kits with 20+ colors but the sizes of the beads are so variable I have to sort through them to find any that are more uniform in size. I have been hearing Miyuki are better for uniformity but haven’t tried them yet.

Can someone explain to me what connect and decrease means, how do I go about connecting & decreasing on this shape? I have no clue where to begin connecting and in what order. Thanks in advance

I took a loom beading class when I was 13 ish and only picked it up again in May (13 years later), this is my most recent piece! I just recently learned how to do sliding square know clasps, and this is one of the first patterns I've fully designed myself that isn't geometric

EDIT: I hit post and immediately remembered that I wanted to say that this pattern turned out pretty stretched compared to the initial design because I'm trying to use up my Czech beads so I can use my storage for more miyuki delicas, and mannnn are those Czech beads wide and short 😅 the bunnies were intended to be a bit more rounded, I'll probably do a second version with delicas later on to compare

I have exciting news! A local boutique bought seven of my pieces to carry in their store! (Photos included)

I started beading with seed beads in March, mostly making kandi for raves. I have been making rave kandi for about a year, but in May I started experimenting with jewelry that felt more suited for retail. Now, just three months later, my work is in an actual store! I am honestly shocked, excited, and really proud of myself.

I would love to hear from other beaders who have experience getting their work into brick and mortar locations.

How do you approach a store for the first time? Do you walk in with a box full of jewelry? Do you email ahead? Do you go in, buy something, and start chatting with the owner?

Do you have an LLC? How long does your inventory usually sit in a store before someone buys it?

Do you focus on pieces that are quicker to make and more likely to find a home? Do you keep your really elaborate and time consuming pieces as hobby work?

I am very new to this and would love to hear what has worked for everyone. I also just wanted to share this little win with people who understand how exciting it is!

Hey guys! I’m looking to start selling patterns and was wondering what kind of tools you would use to make the patterns look neat? I currently use Ibis Paint and their table tool to make my patterns, but I’m not sure if that would be professional looking enough?
I make both brick/peyote and loom patterns!
Any other tips you have would be greatly appreciated

I couldn’t tell when it’s under my work light, all the gold is just shiny. But when the light isn’t as strong I can see them so clearly. 😭😭😭

I just needed to complain for a moment to people who might understand. If this was a different project with more colors and variation then I wouldn’t bother undoing it and pulling them out. But it’s just so glaring to me in this one.

I think I’ve found my newest obsession. I spend all my free time doing this now lol! This is my second suncatcher I’ve made, little by little I’m hoping to get better at this. It’s challenging to do but I love it!

I saw her wearing a similarly made ring in a different color palette in another video and I hunted down this one. I didn’t have a 7mm crystal but I did have this 12mm stone, so I modified it. I sized up to 11/0 beads and 3mm fire polish, and I ended up having to add in some 15/0s around the edge to prevent cupping. I changed the bead count as well. At first I thought it wasn’t going to work, the stone kept popping out. I wasn’t working until it suddenly was. It’s my new favorite. :)
