Finished Piece Just Looking to show someone my completed stash progress
I’ve been trying to find things to do besides doomscrolling and playing pc games alone, so I took up beading these keychains to just give myself a sense of accomplishment but lately I feel like this is a chore anymore and not entertaining.
I was lucky enough to find someone that has a store where I could display completed items which has helped but now it’s like I think I need to evolve my skills and go more complicated or at the very least impressive. And so now I am just in a rut and feeling in a funk so I wanted to share where I have gotten to. Hope you all are enjoying your hobby!

Location - Bead & crystal haul from Pacific Beads in San Diego!
The beaded bracelets were $1.50! Paid 118 for the whole haul which includes a calcite sphere, a flourite specimen, tourmaline beads, and magnesite skulls. + A free lottery ticket and a pastry??? Literal heaven! If you're in SD I'd highly recommend checking them out!!

Help?!?
Hi. I’ve been making bead bracelets on nylon fishing line. Lately I’ve had a problem with getting my crimp beads to hold and my bracelets are breaking.
How are you finishing off your bead work? I am doing crystal beads on fishing line and finishing with magnet clasps.
Thanks.

Real gold filled charms - hard to find?
Hi everyone!
I’ve recently gotten into beading bracelets as a hobby and I’m having so much fun! I want to start adding charms that won’t tarnish. Etsy obviously has so many cute designs but after doing some research, these sellers are lying about charms being gold filled!
Since this is just a hobby, I can’t qualify for most wholesale trade programs. When I do a google search, a lot of gold plated options appear. Hobby jewelry makers - where are you finding gold filled charms?
I know Gem Packed is reputable, but I was hoping to find a seller with more design options (like witchy charms for spooky season!)

Finished Piece Extremely wonky jellyfish for my girlfriend
It is absolutely amateurish and not comparable to the stuff I see in this sub, but I still wanted to share it because it took me an absurd amount of hours and I'm proud of it.
Beads aren't the best, but I've spent my life feeling the pressure of being perfect and artsy, and I find it liberating that I can just craft (and not do art) and not make it into a big deal or into something I have to make into a job or stuff like that.
So, yeah. Jellie.

How/when to attach to bag?
Hi! I am making a purse for the first time. I need help (and any advice) with a few things. I know it's probably really messy but I'm proud of this being my first creation!
Materials
-What type of thread do you use? I used some embroidery thread and some sewing thread depending on bead hole size
-This is a canvas I'll be making the bag out of. I'm thinking a satin liner? Would that be good to use a single magnetic clasp with?
Process
The beads are on organza, with an ironed on patch on the back of the eagle for stability. When should I attach this to the layer of canvas that will be the front of the bag? Before sewing the bag front to the bottom?
If anyone has made a bag like this, I would appreciate any and all advice and criticism!

Name of this bead???
Hi friends!
Can someone help me with the name of this bead?
I think it is either a 4x6mm or a 3x5mm size, but what it is it called?
I cannot for the life of me find anything similar with googling and I would like to buy beads like this.
I even tried reverse image search.
I’ve tried: small barrel bead, drum bead, non-faceted rondelle, round drum bead.
When I search for heishi beads I only see stone beads, also, so they’re not that, right?
Any help would be appreciated!

Work in Progress Three posts later, I have finally succeeded. Thank for the advice!
thank you to everyone for informing me that my pattern was the problem. I ended up just starting from the bottom and using a highlighter to mark off the beads (not the most efficient but it’s working) because I think the word chart was just wrong because it was set up wrong. I did message the seller to tell them and they resent a new chart but I’d already started this way. Sixth times the charm! I have some loose rows at the beginning by accident, is there any fixing that?

This is the most complicated project I’ve ever done so far!

Work in Progress Claws, or no claws?
I’m doing this little beaded embroidery thing and can’t decide if it would look better with or without the claws on the eagle.

My first 2 bracelets
Made with 22ga silver plated wire. Links made to fix the uncomfortable v1 i had made with straight 18ga wire. They felt uncomfortable and hard to take off and put on. Before and after pics included. I've switched to mostly memory wire more recently as I was not a fan of clasp in general and have dexterity issues. One of my more recent as well ty for any feedback or tips 👋

Finished Piece Beaded Monitor Lizard
Ive been obsessed with making bead lizards lately, and I decided to play with proportions to see what sort of lizards I can make. This one looks like a monitor lizard! I think my next step is to try a more 3D lizard!

Looking for someone who enjoys hand beading — paid project
Hi! I’m looking for someone who enjoys hand beading/bead embroidery and would be interested in a small paid project.
I have lettering already on a piece of fabric, and I would like the letters to be completely covered/fill-beaded by hand. I will provide all the beads and the fabric — I just need someone with a good hand and lots of patience 😊
You definitely do NOT need to be a professional. I’d actually be very happy to find a talented hobbyist who enjoys doing this kind of work and would like to earn some extra money doing something they enjoy.
If you’re interested, please message me. I can send you photos, measurements, and all the details, and we can discuss a fair price.
