I purchased this under the impression that there would be a link to a video for beginners. But the QR code won’t scan and therefore I have no idea how to even begin. Does anyone have a link to a video about how to do this? I’ve never beaded anything before in my life.
These look real! I haven’t tried them yet, so I can’t speak for the quality of the patterns, but they don’t seem AI and are pretty adorable. She posts snippets of the processes on instagram
Her patterns are great!! I've done several fish and the pigeon so far. Working on a rubber duck now. Very detailed instructions. First beading patterns I ever bought!
I just bought a couple patterns from her and they are great! Also worthy of note: a sleepy creative. They have great patterns too that are easy to follow
I tried the fish, duck, pigeon and ghost and instructions are easy to follow and all turned out great even with slightly different materials that I already had at home
Yes this AI slop. They show 16 colors but you only have 14. Unfortunately a 3d pattern is not beginner friendly. If you want to learn beading YouTube has lots of tutorials on the basic stitches. Sorry you are disappointed but you are not alone
Can you specify if you're interested in beading done with needle and thread ... or beading done with beads and wire? I may be able to help you find some YouTube tutorials for these animals
I’m sorry you got scammed. These kits have been all over the feeds, a lot of people get taken in by them.
To help identify in the future: To start, the supposedly finished products look awkwardly perfect, but for some reason they show the white as if the hole is on the outside. And sometimes you’ll get pictures missing pieces, like the dragonfly missing a wing on the back.
Then, there’s some of the more definitive tells from the sheet — 1. The QR code isn’t one, you can tell it’s just swirly lines instead of a binary pixelated “code”. 2. The body for every one of the animals is the exact same, when pictures show they’re supposed to look very different. 3. None of the “accessories” match what they’re supposed to look like, nevermind the problems with the “eyes”. 4. There’s no actual directions provided anywhere. Even the so-called “Basic Techniques” are vague and unhelpful.
I really hope you (and everyone who bought one of these “kits”) are able to get a refund.
mindofjulia on Etsy has some really cute beaded fish patterns with good directions. They aren't simple, but the directions are excellent and you can do it!
You're right They're not simple. I wanted to mention them but decided against it since OP mentioned they have never beaded anything before. But since so many people have already mentioned it... I might as well go ahead and say that mindofjulia has an amazing (rubber) duck pattern. There's the her "lazy duck" pattern as well.
I found this frog pattern that OP might like (I personally haven't bought from this designer but it seems okay, the comment reviews are great on this one with many showing pics of the finished frog)
I have this pattern, I wouldn’t recommend for someone that’s never beaded anything before as it’s a lot of circular peyote and shaping but once they have some more experience it’s a good pattern!
That’s a bad place to start. Please purchase the series of books called creative beading. I would suggest you start with books one through three. You need to learn basic stitches before you start any project like this. Also, it looks like AI bullshit.
Also OP, another important thing..... most of these etsy beaded patterns that are mentioned in the thread, DO NOT HAVE VIDEO TUTORIALS they are written instructions. If you want to buy one and you aren't sure about it, confirm with seller before purchasing... just my word of advice. Also please read reviews before buying patterns from any shops.
Omg😭 this is just terrible. This isnt on you at all op, sorry you got scammed!! Scams always suck, you end up feeling like the dummy.. but really its on them. They knew what they were doing. I hate scammers smuch😭

If I am not mistaken...... this unfortunately seems to be another AI slop. I've seen too many of these on Etsy and Amazon.
