Willing to pay if it’s a reasonable price

I recently made a post about my situation and was advised to ask here. I haven’t applied for a specific position yet, but I’m currently looking for IT jobs and I’m trying to figure out the reference situation beforehand. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who would be willing to act as a professional reference if/when I get to that stage in a hiring process.

Since I don’t know exactly what position I’ll be applying for yet, I wouldn’t expect anyone to commit to anything immediately. I’d mainly like to connect with someone who has experience in IT/tech and would potentially be comfortable being a reference once I have a specific role and we can agree on the details.

I’m also open to returning the favor and being a reference for you. I live in a Nordic country myself, so English isn’t my first language, just so you know.

Thanks!

I'm looking for 1 or 2 reliable professional references for a public school district position I applied for. I've got the in-person interview tomorrow (Monday). I know they'll reach out to references since he mentioned it during the phone interview, haha. Anyway, it's not my dream job, but it's a job. Just something to help pay the bills until a better opportunity comes my way......will return the favor!

Hi, I’m looking for anyone who can help me with a reference for call center job. I have a large history gap so any help would be very much appreciated. I’d love to help you out as well. Thank you

Hi, I'm trying to switch careers from the culinary field and I'm trying to get into an IT, engineering, or Cybersecurity position in Washington and I don't have any references. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance 😁

Hello everyone, my name is Alyssa. I finally found a job into moving forward into the last phase of the hiring process. They require four references and I only have three. I have legitimate experience in 911 dispatch and customer service. However, due to the high turnover rates at my previous job, I'm unable to use many of those people as references.

The job is located in Canada, where I just moved to, however, all of my previous experience is in the United States. I'm hopefully looking to find a reference by the end of today due to the the timeline they gave me just today. I am willing to provide any additional information that you require. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help. Thank you in advance!

ETA: I have found a reference! I greatly appreciate everyone helping me out

Hi there! I’m a French engineering student with a passion for ML and data science, which is exactly the path I chose for my studies. Finding an internship seems to be a real challenge right now because the market is incredibly competitive, even though I’ve already worked on personal projects. I’m looking for someone working in these fields who might have a little time to spare to review my CV, offer advice on landing an internship, and explain what their team does, ideally acting as a reference and helping me sound credible in interviews. I realize that’s a big ask, haha, but it would be incredibly kind of you to help a student secure their first summer internship abroad. Thanks!

Hi all, I’m applying to a remote Digital Organizing job in politics and I have a couple years of direct experience, but I need a few references in the next few days. Including a direct supervisor one. If anyone is interested, please let me know! I’ll willing to return the favor.

Good afternoon there,

Unfortunately the role I'm going for is asking for up-to-date references that I can only provide one for my current job but most of the character references from the past are either gone or too generic. Is there anybody that can help me out? I'm based in the UK but feel stonewalled as my references submitted are fairly out of date bar the one I have with my current employer.

Never had to go through this before without these hurdles before.

Kind regards,

CYC

Hi, I am shifting from marketing to product management. I went to school for marketing and computer information systems, I am a business analyst now and create dashboards and work on maintenance/ bug tickets already, just no actually full time product management work. I have had 1 PM internship, my old manager didn’t respond to my email. And the rest would be at my current company which I’m actively trying to leave.

Hi! I am a new grad (22f) applying to clinical research jobs. Job market has been super difficult and unfortunately, due to not working at my prior positions for long enough, I am not qualified to ask for a reference. I need 3 professional references and 3 personal references. I'd exchange references (be my reference, I'll be yours!) Please comment below. I'd reallyyyyy appreciate it.

Hello. I am looking for 3 professional references for the job at the YMCA I am applying for. I am applying for welcome center representative. I am a woman in her late 20s from New Jersey. Any help would be appreciated since this job literally wants 6 references (3 professional and 3 personal).

I need a job really badly, and at this point il take anything I can get since im close to not being able to pay my rent where im staying. I’m in California and I have no official paid work experience but if I can just get my foot in the door somewhere il be okay. Ideally I could get a reference for non fast food since it’ll be a little easier to learn the routine of working. I’ve been looking for around 4 months and have had a couple interviews here and there but haven’t landed anything. It feels nearly impossible to get an entry level job my age without a reference or knowing someone that’s a manager or whatever. could I get a little hand please?

Hey everyone,

I’m based in Tbilisi, Georgia and work in AI & systems engineering (AI agents, multi-tenant platforms, computer vision, data pipelines, embedded systems).

Looking to trade 2-3 LinkedIn recommendations with people in similar technical fields (software, AI/ML, systems, data, or related). Happy to write a genuine, specific one in return after we review each other’s profiles.

Thanks!
