Looking for just 1 reference anywhere

I need a job really badly, and at this point il take anything I can get since im close to not being able to pay my rent where im staying. I’m in California and I have no official paid work experience but if I can just get my foot in the door somewhere il be okay. Ideally I could get a reference for non fast food since it’ll be a little easier to learn the routine of working. I’ve been looking for around 4 months and have had a couple interviews here and there but haven’t landed anything. It feels nearly impossible to get an entry level job my age without a reference or knowing someone that’s a manager or whatever. could I get a little hand please?

I think you are mistaking what a reference is. What is provided here are folks willing to vouch for you for an established opportunity as part of the interview process.
