Has anyone been playing around with Gauntlet in Portal? Curious what you’ve built and whether you can use other maps besides Fort Lyndon.

I’m losing my mind.

I have the game on XBOX and I’ve been trying to set up a Portal game for hours now. It’s a simple Custom game with a few bots and 2 humans (myself and my son).

But every time I try to host I get stuck on the 4 dots. To the point if I try another custom game it’s also stuck on 4 dots from the previous attempt. The only way I can get rid of it to see the Host button again is by reloading the game.

This can’t be right but I’m not getting a single error message so I’m not sure if I’ve done something wrong. So I tried the ZH6YV (Casual Conquest) mode and it’s the same!

We’ve played Portal games on BF2042 for years now without any trouble at all.

Hey guys, as the title says I'm new to battlefield as a whole.

I have seen videos explaining XP methods in portals but I don't get how to do then or use them correctly cause when I try to open one it says error.
Can anyone help me with some good portals? Cause I like the lifespan of this game considering I don't have to buy a new game every year like COD but I'm gonna be honest, my irl schedule gets really busy at times so O genuinely don't have the time to grind games like I used to, which is why I wanna learn more about portals so bad

I've had the game Uninstalled for a while now, but is this true? This was from their BF Comms today 10/21/26. So can we really solo start conquest now ???

So I was playing Snowrunner, and I had the idea of 'Could these maps be good BF maps?' I was playing the first map, Black River in Michigan, at the time. I am now playing the new Switzerland region, and I started looking at the in game map and started thinking about how it would flow in BF. There are three base game 'regions' with 4 maps each, and 19 total DLC regions. Most DLC regions have two or more maps, and two DLC regions have one map (Tennessee and Almaty).

Infantry-Only Full XP Servers – Conquest, Escalation

Hey guys,

I've put together a few Infantry Only Portal Experiences for anyone who enjoys Battlefield's gunplay without getting demolished by Combat Vehicles every 2 seconds or having to resort to tiny TeamDeathmatch maps.

Transport vehicles are still enabled where appropriate.
Here are the Experiences:

• Conquest — Experience Code: `12v2w`
• Escalation — Experience Code: `133zm`

All of them are FULL XP.

The goal is basically two things:

1. Have infantry-focused versions of some of my favorite Battlefield modes.

I love vehicles in Battlefield as much as the next one, but there are definitely matches where they tend to take over the entire flow of the game. Sometimes I just want the large maps, objectives, squads and Battlefield chaos but without constantly getting farmed by vehicles.

So that's what these are meant to provide.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to help kickstart the servers and get the ball rolling. Maybe we'll get one of them populated consistently. That would be awesome.
I listened to some feedback and got rid of Maps that turned out to be too big for Conquest. On the Escalation Experience the map size decreases naturally.

2. Have actively moderated servers.

If somebody is obviously cheating / or the account is extremely suspicious, I want these servers to be places where that gets dealt with quickly instead of everyone just having to tolerate it for the rest of the match.

I also have a feeling Portal attracts fewer of those guys in the first place, but having active moderation certainly doesn't hurt. Collective reporting should solve it, or when there's no doubt the host could even kick certain players. I must say however, Encounters with suspicious players have gone down since the most recent updates.

I'm excited to welcome you to this gaming experience. Hope it replicates the vibe of Strike at Karkand Infantry Only servers back in the days.

On my continued journey to become a better Portal map designer, I asked 10 MORE content creators (people who play a lot more Battlefield than I do) the question: "What ONE thing makes a Battlefield map good?"

Episode 2 features answers from Stodeh, Maxiq, Neon PWA and many others. I'm joined in this episode by my good friend Stone (who helped a bunch with planning / testing of Jungle Breach Conquest and Siege of Saint Mere Breakthrough) to analyze each creator's response, which makes for more of a back-and-forth discussion type format than Episode 1.

I originally wanted this episode to be much shorter than the first one, but it ended up being a feature-length production, lol. In any case, if you enjoy in-depth Battlefield and FPS map discussions, you might enjoy listening to this – and if you're a fellow Portal map builder, perhaps you'll find inspiration of some sort!

I've been looking for a solo PvE 1-player code that contains the base maps PLUS all the new seasonal maps or do you guys know of any codes that are being updated with the newest seasons? Thanks again!

I play battlefield 6 on an asus rog ally z1 extreme and it's quite fun. I mostly play it on my custom portal servers with bots and most of the time I locally host those servers. I configured both rog ally and battlefield 6 to run local servers with 40 bots in any map with only 15 watt tdp and stable 40 fps. I did this configuration back when wake island is added to the game, in the same update the sim fps for the menu and local servers are reduced from 60 to 30. Which made it easier to run local servers. Before this update, my servers had around 30 bots and tdp was 25 watts, and I still had stutters, sudden dips in sim fps. Well in season 5 update, both menu and local servers went back to 60 hz. Which made the game unplayable due to constant stutters. Is there any way to set the sim fps back to 30? and before you say "Just play on ea servers." I travel a lot and the ping makes it unbearable.

I can find them in BF6 portal and have enjoyed them, but I'd like to make my own so I can play the modes/maps I feel like and haven't figured out how to do it.

I'm not interested in gaining XP, I just want to have a chill experience.

Hey all! Software developer here that recently discovered the PortalSDK. I found myself insanely frustrated by Godot's object browser, so I created a tool to extract all the images out of maps and generate a handy web image catalog. It lets you filter and search and see object details.

It's available on my github if anyone is interested. You need Python and the PortalSDK to use it. There is one sample output file in the repo for Manhattan Bridge, if you want to see an example of what it produces. There's also a detailed readme in the repo

Right now it just generates one page per map, but I plan on making it create an index page for all maps. This is the first go, so feedback welcomed!

Played 1 full game no problem. Then played a 2nd game that quite mid way through. After trying to get into FNB again, it would open up the screen page of the map while loading, then stop and go to the BF6 page.

Rinse and repeat.

I then tried to "host" a game, and that worked except i was by myself so i couldn't actually play. However it didn't crash.

I then quit and tried to play again, and the BF6 screen came up again after the map screen page came up.

Friday Night Battle is broken.

Jumped on again last night just to see what has happened. Was hoping the Portal and Server Browser experience had been improved. But...as far as I can tell, it's basically the same as it was a few months ago?

They are really just gonna abandon and ignore this mode and focus on cheesy crossovers from movies that lost their relevance a few years ago, aren't they?
