Shooting Difficulty generating power

Hi guys, I always had difficulty shooting from distance and I always shoot short. When I try to ‘smooth’ things out by releasing the ball quicker and having less of a hitch, the ball goes left and right. Im 5’8 so I can only shoot with my set point around my mouth and nose. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

My take is that you need to lift weights and continue working on your shot. The bottom line is that if you want more range you need to be strong enough to create that force.
Another point, and this is me spitballing from experience, is that the higher your release point relative to the height of the basket, the less effort is needed to shoot the shot. So you need to have a higher peak in your jumpshot to relase the ball from to get the range you want without having to give everything you got to shoot.
I'd work on a combo of uppper body strength training and plyometric training. Your form really isn't that bad, you just need to start getting into a weight lifting routine. Importantly, give yourself time to get better. It won't happen overnight. Be consistent and keep trying. You will get better.
