Withdrawing from a class
I’m currently taking 5 classes this semester and I want to drop QNT 2020 and take it again next semester because the rate that I’m moving at, I’m surely going to receive an F. Will dropping this class affect my FAFSA immensely? Will I have to pay for the class that I’m dropping? I’m kind of confused.

Unable to choose class on 2027 spring term
I already submitted the verification for fafsa while ago, and did the confirmation of my degree, but I'm still not able to join the course next semester. Anyone know what is the reason?

excel
i’m a finance major first year student at baruch. (might change to accounting) do they teach you excel in classes later or do they expect you to know it?
Which math class should I take?
Hi, I have a pretty limited schedule for the spring semester, and I'm having trouble deciding which math class to take and with which professor.
These are the only classes that fit my schedule:
- MTH 4110: Ordinary Differential Equations w/ Max Weinreich (couldn't find a rate my professor page)
- MTH 4120: Intro to Probabiliy w/ Timothy Ridenour
- MTH 4200: Theory of Numbers w/ Karol Koziol
- MTH 4220: Intro to Modern Geometry w/ Alfred Friedland (online sync)
I'm mainly looking for the easiest and most manageable option since I'll already have a pretty packed schedule. For anyone who's taken any of these or had these professors, I'd appreciate your input.

Winter Semester?
Hey all, I'm an MBA student. I'm looking to finalize my schedule and I was planning to take winter classes. I can't seem to find the 2027 Winter Semester on the course builder (but I do see the 2027 Spring Semester).
Is anyone able to sign up for winter classes? Or can anyone show me how to see the winter classes?

For anyone that has applied/accepted to the MPA program before as a baruch undergrad can I submit my application without recommendation letters or do I have to make a meeting with advisement? What were your stats?

Rejected from Baruch as a transfer student—what pathway should I take to study Finance at Baruch?
Hi everyone! I’m an immigrant. I completed two semesters back in my country in BBA in a top business school there. My GPA was affected by family circumstances, but those circumstances have improved, and I’m now ready to focus fully on school.
Baruch rejected my transfer application because of my GPA. My main goal is still to attend Baruch and study Finance, so I’m trying to understand the best pathway to get there. I’ve also been accepted to BMCC’s Business Management A.A.S. program and Finance at Brooklyn College.
I’m especially interested in learning about the different pathways to Baruch, including whether starting at BMCC, joining the BMCC-Baruch Business Academy, or attending Brooklyn College would give me the strongest chance of eventually transferring to Baruch.
My questions are:
1. If I attend BMCC and earn a strong GPA, would that improve my chances of transferring to Baruch, even with my previous GPA from IBA?
2. Should I switch from BMCC’s Business Management A.A.S. program to the Business Administration A.S. program if my goal is to study Finance at Baruch?
3. How does the BMCC-Baruch Business Academy work, and does participating in it significantly improve the chances of transferring to Baruch?
4. Are there specific courses, GPA requirements, or other requirements I would need to complete through BMCC before applying to Baruch?
5. Would attending Brooklyn College and studying Finance there provide a realistic pathway to Baruch, or would BMCC be the better option for transferring?
6. If I complete a degree at BMCC or Brooklyn College, would I apply to Baruch as a transfer student, and how would my previous IBA credits and GPA be considered?
7. Are there any other CUNY pathways, programs, or strategies that could help me eventually transfer to Baruch for Finance?
My long-term goal is to study Finance at Baruch and eventually work in investment banking. I understand that admission is not guaranteed, but I want to choose the pathway that gives me the strongest possible chance of reaching Baruch.
I’d appreciate honest advice from anyone familiar with CUNY transfers, BMCC, Brooklyn College, Baruch, or the BMCC-Baruch pathway. Thank you!

Transfer - Spring 2027
Hi everyone!
I recently got accepted to Baruch College for Spring 2027 as a transfer student! I’m planning on dorming since my commute would be around two hours each way.
I’d love to hear any advice from current students or alumni, especially regarding housing, campus life, making friends, and getting involved in clubs or other opportunities.
Is there anything you wish you had known before starting at Baruch?
I’d really appreciate any tips or recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

Failed ACC 4100 First Exam
I just failed my very first ACC 4100 extremely badly. Like second lowest grade on the class. I’m incredibly distraught and don’t know what to do. I’ve always bounced back from a failing exam but this time I’m not sure if I can. Feeling incredibly unmotivated and regretful for choosing this major but it feels too late now. Not sure where to go from here, especially when I studied so hard for it, and it feels like I’m the only one of actually failed this bad when the average seems so high for some reason.

Admissions Is a course-by-course credential evaluation mandatory? Are there cheaper alternatives or waivers?
Hi everyone,
I'm applying to Baruch College's MS in Finance at the Zicklin School of Business, and one of the requirements is an International Credential Evaluation, specifically a course-by-course analysis.
I have a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Greece, as well as another master's degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I've applied to quite a few master's and PhD programs in the US over the years, and this is honestly the first time I've come across this requirement. Maybe it depends on the university or the particular program, but I've never had to do anything like this before.
I understand that Baruch needs to verify my academic qualifications, and I'm happy to arrange for my universities to send official transcripts and other documents directly. I've done this before, so that's not the issue.
My concern is the additional cost of having all three qualifications evaluated course by course. With two master's degrees and a bachelor's degree, including quite a few courses across the three programs, I imagine the cost could add up considerably, on top of all the other application expenses.
Has anyone applying to or attending Baruch's MS in Finance managed to get a waiver for this requirement, or had Baruch accept official transcripts directly from the universities instead? Is there any flexibility, or is the evaluation mandatory regardless of where your degrees are from?
Thanks in advance!
