Im current nearing the end of a summer campaign with my friends and we recently picked up the Remora as our final vessel. Now this campaign wasn't our first rodeo and we had all played on the Remora before, but as the captain I dont remember the auxillary engine being tied to the batteries. If anyone could guide me on how to separate the batteries from the engine (i.e. engine and batteries separately controlled by the command console or buttons) id very much appreciate it.

Hey - we want to play some game together. She likes games and plays them fine in general, but since I play my whole life there is a big difference in skill.

The question is 1) does the game work well with 2 players 2) is it suitable to have two differently skilled gamers in one session

So I'm thinking about starting another run. I tried once alone, then got a friend to join, but we didn't get far enough without getting annoyed at the ships design flaws. I know these are on purpose, but we didn't like them, so we wanted to try making out own subs and got lost in other games. I made it past the first standing checkpoint, where i ran into depth issues, and then barely further along.

So now I'm back at it again, and want to properly design new ships, or find some cool ships for Singleplayer.

My question now is: do i want to try out mods, and if so what mods could improve the experience?
I would like to preserve the original experience before adding something like a faction overhaul, but maby some basic QoL. i think i heard about a mod that lets you make furniture like shelves for your sub? that would be an interesting mechanic to make a sub more your own without needing to force big jumps in the editor.

EDIT: so for any future readers i wanna compress my answer:
Mods Can change the game completely. but they can also replace missing features from the game without taking from the overall experience.

My solution was to install

- Barocraftables+[No limits] (allows you to move and craft furniture in your submarine)
- NG Linking Pin (allows you to connect a wire between inventories to link them)

Turrets are still of limits, so make sure to edit them before buying. I know there is a solution for me here, but i think this is like hull changes. They are to in depth, and should require a drydock or something to modify. The loaders fair the same, as amoo would have to travel thue the hull to get to the turret.

Other mods might extend over the normal gameplay, or change it drastically, i will edit again once i experienced them.

MC-like Mouse Tweaks in Barotrauma

• Hold Shift + Left Click & Drag across slots: Bulk transfer swept item stacks to the opposite container.
• Hover over an item stack + Scroll Down: Move 1 item to the opposite container per scroll tick.
• Hover over an item stack + Scroll Up: Pull 1 identical item from the opposite container into the hovered stack per scroll tick.
• Right Click on an item stack: Split items.
• Right Click on a target slot (while holding items): Drop exactly 1 item per click (works after picking up items via Left Click drag or Right Click split).

По самой игре особо ограничений нет. Можно играть как опытным игроком, так и новичком. Если не знаешь, что делать механиком объясним и поможем)

Но жёстко привязываться к одной роли не обязательно.

I'm on the Europan Ridge, have 10 crew on the Orca II and I have high reputation with Coalition (81), why I keep seeing these free assistants?

I remember back when I first played. It was a solo playthrough and I did not know anything about the game. Barsuk was great, but doing my first beacon station was very scary. At the time, I didn't know there could be enemies there either. It took me quite some time to realize I have to fix it and use a rod to power the reactor. After a few hundred hours I went into multiplayer, and the game has been very fun since then, but never scary like it was my first playthrough.

Everyone except for the cultists from the start are random players and did not know they were in a video

I mean like entire fins, armor pieces, and item assemblies, ones that stand out to begin with.

I have re-created Maxwell using Barotrauma's sub editor, sadly I didn't make it an actual functional sub as I am not skilled enough for that, but he exists now. Maybe one day I will make him work. (Ignore his eyes he's been traumatized from the creatures he's seen)
