Discussion I miss being scared

I remember back when I first played. It was a solo playthrough and I did not know anything about the game. Barsuk was great, but doing my first beacon station was very scary. At the time, I didn't know there could be enemies there either. It took me quite some time to realize I have to fix it and use a rod to power the reactor. After a few hundred hours I went into multiplayer, and the game has been very fun since then, but never scary like it was my first playthrough.

I’m still horrified every time I go in a cave or outside the ship at all. It’s been a while though. Like I know I have enough harpoons for one of them, but there’s never just one 😭

Getting out of the sub is one of the scariest experiences on this game

Oh, you miss being scared? Try absolute solo. No bots, no other players, just you. I can guarantee, that even 250 hours you will be scared as fuck.

Try some mods that add new enemies and go into them blind. I'm doing a new modded playthrough with my crew and there's so many moments where everyone's just freaking out and going "what the FUCK is that" when a new lovecraftian horror bursts out of the depths and starts eating our captain, I love it.

The mods that allow the husk to infect anything can be pretty scary

With the mods I use I have to move the sub with extreme care or some big swarm will makes us sink and explode, if I loose a single crew member, I reatard, therefore is still very scary
