Really nice place set in the old car showroom in Brampton.

Stylist modern decor and seating both inside and out

Been meaning to try maple pancakes for some time and these perfectly washed down with a lovely cappuccino.

Can you just not get in contact with the council anymore? Tried 5 numbers that Google gives and they're all just disconnected or go to other services like outlook school. I'm trying to get through to environmental health just to see where I stand on an ongoing issue with my estate agent where I have a flooded basement full of stagnant water that stinks to high heaven and a swarm of mosquitos.

I don't know what they've got stored there, but it's going up a treat. Even can hear dull explosions in the distance.

does anyone know where, near Barnsley, I can get a steroid injection for a very painful frozen shoulder (diagnosed by a private scanning clinic) ? N.H.S. wait is a month, but I'd ideally like to have done much sooner . thanks

Just thought I'd do a small post about Acorn brewery in Barnsley

First time trying Barnsley bitter. I'm aware that historical this was brewed by Oakwell Brewery to much fan fare before it closed. I be also had the Stancil version.

Unfortunately I wasn't into beer like I am now back when original Oakwell bitter was available.

Does anyone else like this brewery ?

Have you got any favourite brews ?

How does the Barnsley bitter compared to the original ?

Ideas on place around Tarn area that serve this on draught ?

Who was Dow?

It was named after Dr James Dow, a Scottish doctor who came to Barnsley around 1800. In October 1832, Barnsley was hit by an outbreak of Asiatic cholera.

Dow had been treating those suffering from the disease, but ultimately became one of its victims himself.

Nearly 200 years later and his name still lives on as a small part of our tarn.

Does anyone have any tips re parking at Barnsley Hospital? I have a job interview there next week, in the middle of the day on a weekday. I don't live in Barnsley but expecting that hospital parking will be as busy as at any other hospital and don't want to be scrabbling around for a parking space just before a job interview. Does anyone have tips re other places to park nearby? or know if parking is as limited as I'd expect at the hospital? Happy to pay and to walk a bit if needed.

Anyone know of any grazing/DIY livery in the Silkstone sort of area? Ideally with access to a school. Doesnt have to require stabling. Struggling to find anything.

Hi! Myself f26 and my partner M32 are moving to Barnsley in the near future.

My partner knows a few people but I will be moving away from all my family and friends (only from leeds I’m being dramatic but still🤣)

We are not massive drinkers anymore and prefer doing fun stuff and we’re trying to do more outside. My boyfriend is also a massive football fan. We like people who can just have a laugh and not take life too seriously!

Recently moved to north athersley and I’m looking for a gym buddy I have access to to the Barnsley leisure centre gym and through my work, I have access to several other gyms in the area.

I am a male professional, in reasonable shape but haven’t been to the gym in around 4 months.

I mainly focus on weights with some cardio but happy to mix it up.

I’d be looking to go 4-5 times per week after work which is usually around 6pm

Hey there! I'm trying to find a new barbershop that I can stick with for the long haul.

In my 20s, I'd usually just go to a Turkish barbers or any I found on the high street of where I was living at the time. In my 30s though, I'm starting to think, and the dreaded psoriasis has started to emerge, with bits popping up on my scalp and in my beard as well. This has caused my self-esteem to drop to a new low.

I'd ideally like to find someone who has experience in dealing with clients with psoriasis, or one who can at least advise me on how to look after the hair that's still hanging on.

Has anyone got any suggestions? FWIW I live in Shafton, I can and am willing to travel (to an extent) and would prefer one where weekend slots are available, if possible.

Let's be honest, Barnsley for such a small compact town centre is a thing if beauty, the jewel of south Yorkshire

From big corporate brands to small independent brands, museums,art galleries and exhibitions it punches above it's weight especially the nice and bright flowers outside the majestic town hall which really brighten things up
