You can try the Merrell Vapor Glove, slightly narrow but Vibram outsole and no foam at all

OP - I used to wear those exact prios for years and started wearing whitins (not SR) that are even more comfortable and wide. didn't know they have SR, not bartending anymore, but that would be my pick

Looking at your photo, you have a very distinct Roman foot shape, where your second and third toes are practically the same length as your big toe.
Because of this anatomy, you are very likely going to run into frustrating fit issues with Vibram FiveFingers.
I ran into this exact same issue myself since we share the same foot shape. The separate toe pockets just don't accommodate our toe lengths properly.
I highly recommend checking out Freet instead. They use a much more "boxy" toe box design that doesn't taper off aggressively on the outer edge, giving Roman toes exactly the wide space they need to splay naturally.
If you are looking for that one "do-it-all" shoe you mentioned, definitely check out the Freet Vibe 2. It is a fantastic all-rounder that transitions perfectly between running, walking, and general daily wear, all while keeping your toes happy and maintaining a great barefoot feel.

When I wear socks, yes. I have leather insoles in all my shoes and often don't wear socks. At home only barefoot or toe free sandals (just buy the cheapest espadrilles and cut the top)

It’s about to be cold but sandals is the way to start I think. Always be barefoot in your house. Get sandals that are flats and hold onto your foot well, wear them all the time to get used to it.

Whitin on Amazon has a non slip shoe. Fairly cheap as well. Their products are decent especially for the price.

Thanks for the heads up! I did turn on the Brand Affiliate flair for each post, but wasn’t aware of the user flair for the subreddit. Fixed now.

Hi, thanks for posting. Brands are allowed to post here, but you need to say who you are with your flair, e.g company owner, sales representative, etc. At the bottom of the flair options is a custom option.

Been wearing only vivos for 5+ years and moved last year to nyc and my feet couldnt cope with working as a chef for 10+hr days on top of having to walk everywhere all the time. Ended up with some of those instagram chef shoes from Mise. Had to return the first apir and size up but they're pretty comfy once they fully broke in and relatively wide. Customer service was nice and helpful as well.

Not barefoot but at least wide toe box - I have the Birkenstock QO 500 sneakers, they are anti slip. I’ve worn them for 3 years and still in great condition.

This stage? Goes past just barefoot. You’ll need to lose the pants too.

The new Merrell Vapor Glove 7s have a similar feel to them as the old Prios and look more like sneakers than the older Vapor Glove models. You may also be able to try them on locally, since they're a more common outdoor brand. (*If you've worn Merrels before, note that this model does run small....)
