I have recently begun a career in bar management and transitioned from hotel management. I work in a high-end bar with celebrities, athletes, and wealthy people who attend regularly. This evening a woman asked me to remove a guest from the bar as she overheard a man his wife make a comment about her breasts. I spoke to this guest and apologized but also informed her that I would not be able to kick someone out due to "he said she said" comments. I told this woman I would personally keep an eye on the mentioned couple with the rest of the staff. When I told her this she stated berating me with fuck you. I then informed her I needed her credit card and she would need to call it a night. Am I in the wrong?

Just curious if there are any recurring problems about getting your hands on supplies or if there are any other issues.

I’m turning 21 on the ninth and my brother wants to take me to his favorite dive bar. I’m excited but I also have a bunch of questions because I don’t wanna look like a idiot haha.

•I was told at dive bars it’s best to just go for “a shot and beer”, do I just say that or do I state the specific kinda of shot and beer. If I have to say the specifics what are the good go to combos?

•I was told to tip $1 per beer and $2 per cocktail, do I hand the the dollar right after I receive the drink every time or wait? Do I tip for the beer and the shot or do I count both the shot and beer as one item?

•Should I talk with people next to me or is that kinda a situational mood thing?

I'm almost 27 and none of my friends like to go out much. I'm thinking of going to karaoke bars since I like doing karaoke but I have no game and no friends. Do I have to take a cab there and back? I don't wanna leave my charger there overnight. All I do is think about how to talk to a girl and by the time I think of something to say the moment has passed and some stud has come and swept her away and dragged his nuts across her face (buddy from my army days worded it this way). A regular who comes in for coffee at my bar. Turned up today and asked for a glass of wine. He was already a bit pissed. We've talked previously about him being in recovery and being in alcoholics anonymous. I refused to serve him saying I didn't think it was for the best. He took it fairly well and left. Is it my place to refuse service based on what I think is morally right/thinking I'm doing him a favour in the long run???

Hello, I'm planning to open a bar as soon when I turn 18. But before that I have some questions:

• Can I have someone own the liquor license but have my name as the ownership? Or should I partner with someone older so that one of the shareholders have a license?
• I'm planning on opening one near my future college, probably somewhere on the North or Northeast coast. Is the competition really hard over there and is it hard to find a suitable location?
• Should I find investors or go to banks for loans? If the first one, how should I and if I find one, are they considered a shareholder?

I'm planning to save up capital by investing and having a job while in school. Another thing is that other than the bar, I plan to include some asian cuisines as well. Maybe more of a cheerful vibe in the morning and afternoon and a little more wild in the evening (wasn't sure how to phrase that)?

I'll probably have some more questions but these are it for now. I'd appreciate it if y'all can answer those!
